New 2026 F150 5.0 V8 engine oil and filter recommendations?

I am not sure about that. Apparently the hamster running their servers is worn out today. Does Amsoil clean like Valvoline Restore and Protect? It's really the only reason I am running it now, was because of its cleaning ability.

    New Mobil 1 Advanced Clean

I don't have an issue running Euro oils. I have run 0w40 Penzoil Platinum Euro, and Castrol Edge 0w40 Euro without any issue in my F-150.

New 2026 F150 5.0 V8 engine oil and filter recommendations?

I probably would if I was towing more often, and in higher temp zones. I know Oz Tuning recommends 5w50 for all Coyote engines, regardless if stock or forced induction. I ran it myself for awhile, but I don't tow much anymore, and that stuff is expensive. Running Valvoline Restore and Protect...

    New Mobil 1 Advanced Clean

Maybe we will see some real testing done, before my next oil change. For now, I am sticking with Valvoline Restore and Protect, as it has had real testing done, and I figured my 258k 5.0 probably could benefit from some cleaning. Now if only their 0w40 would make it to the states.

Valvoline Restore and Protect - Shortage at Walmart?

My local walmart just finally started to carry Valvoline Restore and Protect. I haven't been down the oil isle in a couple weeks, so not sure what the stock is like there. I took advantage of O'reilly's deal on oil with a microgaurd select filter, so I didn't buy any from Walmart.

Would Valvoline Restore and Protect prevent cam-roller failure on a 2019 Durango 5.7L Hemi?

During my searches there was concern of going with a 40 or 50 grade would potentially cause problems with the MDS system. I have no idea if that is true or not.

    Valvoline Restore and Protect

Hopefully that 0w40 makes its way to the states soon. I would prefer to run it in my F150.

Would Valvoline Restore and Protect prevent cam-roller failure on a 2019 Durango 5.7L Hemi?

Would definitely run 5w30. After search for prevention for my wife's ram, it seemed a common recommendation was to run 5w30.

Who will replace Fram filters at Walmart?

2017 1500 with a 5.7. Even the Mopar ones were out of stock at my location. I am just going to take advantage of O'reilly's Valvoline Restore and Protect deal and snag a Microguard select for a little over $6. Combo is for a 5qt jug and filter for $39, with a limit of 2. Valvoline Restore and...

Who will replace Fram filters at Walmart?

Looking at walmart, for the wife's ram, and the only compatible filter in stock was the Purolator 20000 mile one, and I think maybe Mobil 1 filter.

Walking into part store just for oil filter.

My younger sister works at Autozone. There is a corporate push for the employees to try and upsell/get you to buy more things. You go in for oil and filter, they have them push to try and get the buyer to buy an air filter too, for instance. Happened when I went there last year to take advantage...

    Another Deal Bites the Dust

Except when you take advantage of combo deals. That's the only time I ever buy oil from an auto parts store. I intend to take advantage of the Valvoline Restore and Protect and Microguard select filter combo, myself.

    Valvoline Restore and Protect

Yea that is what I prefer to run, but I figured I would try Valvoline Restore and Protect, despite being stuck with 30 grade, when I really want at least a 40. I am at 257k miles now, so I would imagine a good cleaning wouldn't be a terrible idea.

    Valvoline Restore and Protect

Even though I prefer to run a thicker oil, in my F150, I am going to give 5w30 a try. I am going to run it in the wife's '17 Hemi Ram 1500, and the 0w20 in the wife's old Dodge Avenger, that I daily drive. 2.7 is known to be a sludge happy engine, so will see how things go.

    Another Deal Bites the Dust

Right now walmart shelves are getting pretty bare for filters. O'Reilly's has a decent deal on Valvoline Restore and Protect with a microguard select filter for like $39 right now. One stop shop, instead of going to multiple stores, for a similar price, if you bought them separate.

    Amalie 5W-50 Elixir Full Synthetic

My tuner recommends 5w50 for all Coyote engines, which my 255k, '12 F150 has. The price is typically high, so I have been using 0w40, that I catch on good deals. The pricing of this has me considering it.

    Valvoline Restore and Protect

I don't baby my truck, plus I do tow a boat. Oz Tuning recommends 5w50 more due to the VCT system, and how it operates. I settled on 0w40 due to price. It did quiet things down vs 5w20.

Found this thread on a search. So consensus is the 5w50 is a decent oil?
