    Looking at some new tires

I went through the same arguments for my Mazda. I went with Pirelli Cinturato P7 A/S Plus for the noise over Continental ExtremeContact DWS06 Tires. So far so good.

New tire size, new tire pressure?

Mushy may have been a bit off. More like less stable which just be the taller sidewalls and narrower tire width. I found an app note from Toyo and it seems at least from the charts that the XL rating only kicks in above 36PSI and yes is measured at 42PSI. Below 36PSi, the impression that I...

New tire size, new tire pressure?

Thanks everyone! Tire pressure is such a trivial thing until you venture away from the OEM tire size and ratings. So I found one of those mythical tire pressure and load charts. It turns out my summers are 91 and my winters are 95 load indices. So I could drop down to 30 PSI from 36 for the...

New tire size, new tire pressure?

The stock tire size I have is 205/55R16 and the door jam is marked with 36 PSI for all four tires. For winter, I go down to a set of x-ice3's in size 195/65R15. I never really thought about it but should I adjust the tire pressure up from 36psi?

Mazda 3 skyactiv tick, something oil can't fix?

I have a 2013 mazda3 2.0L Skyactiv with 70k miles. Sounds basically the same as that. I've always run 0W-20, Mobil1 AFE, Castrol Edge, Pennzoil Platinum... they all sound to me and it really hasn't changed since the car was new.

Which oil and OCI for BMW B46O engine?

I have this engine variant in a 2015 Mini Cooper S. The first two dealer services were 5w-30 LL01 oil and its final service this spring, it came back with the 0w-30 LL01FE listed. The 5w-30 was originally spec’d so the change caught my eye but I do t see any harm it.

Is it worth getting Mazda 0W-20 oil?

I’m at 65k miles on a mix of Castrol Professional 0w-20 (dealership oil), Mobil1 0w-20 AFE, Castrol Edge 0w-20, Castrol Edge Extreme Performance 0w-20, and now Pennzoil Ulta Platinum 0w-20. Conditions were split between California and Canada. Out of all of those, the Castrol Edge EP was the...
