I just put in Mobil 1 EP in our RAV4. Opinions.....Will I be safe going 10,000 miles on this oil?

Mobil 1 0w20 AFE vs EP

I just noticed that Mobil 1 is available in 0w20 EP. How does it compare to the AFE version? I've been using Mobil 1 0w20 AFE in my wife's 2009 RAV4. Have been changing it every 5000 miles. Until now....Changed the oil right before we drove from Ohio down to Florida Keys in August. Life happened...

Pirelli Scorpion ATR vs Yokohama Geolander A/T-S

My favorite tire (Bridgestone Dueler H/L Alenza) is no longer being made in my size. So the search is on. I've narrowed it to Pirelli Scorpion ATR & Yokohama Geolander A/T-S. I've read so many conflicting reviews...I don't know what to think. I want decent wet traction, decent snow traction...

    Mobil 1 0w20 vs Mobil 1 5w20

I've been using Mobil 1 5w20 in my wife's 2009 RAV4 Sport I4 since new. It now has 43,000 miles. The manual and oil cap recommend both 5w20 and 0w20. Should I be using 0w20 during the Winter? (Northern Ohio) Is one better overall than the other? They both seem to be the same price. For...

    M1 5W-20, PU 5W-20, and CE 5W-20

The car is a 2009 RAV4 Sport I4. I've been using Mobil 1 5W-20 for the first 20,000 miles. What do you all think about Mobil 1 5W-20, Pennzoil Ultra 5W-20, and Castrol Edge 5W-20? I've been happy with the Mobil 1 5W-20. I'm just curious if there is something else out there that is worth...

    Mobil 1 HM 5W-30 vs. Mobil 1 5W-30

We have a 1997 Honda CRV with 235,000 miles. I've always used mobil 1 5W-30 in it. The last 30,000 miles, it has begun to use a little oil. So I'm considering trying Mobil 1 HM 5W-30. I compared both labels. The HM version does not seem to meet as many standards. Is it still okay to use...

    Oil for new 2.5L I4 in 2009 RAV4

Toyota put a new 2.5 I4 engine in the 2009 RAV4 (Toyota). It calls for either 5W-20 or 0W-20. Toyota states both are fine, but they don't recommend switching back and forth. Use one and stick with it. Does one give any better protection?

How do you know GC is true synthetic?

How does anyone know that GC is a TRUE synthetic? (Made from PAO/Esters, not Group III.) Is it listed on Castol's site? I've read a lot of postings, but that doesn't make it a fact.

    German Castrol?

I've read all the posts about "German Castrol" at AutoZone. I've looked at a few AutoZones in my area, but every single bottle states it was made with both American and foreign products. Where do people get the idea of "German Castrol"?
