    When a dealer does routine brake fluid change do they syphon the master cylinder reservoir first then pump out each wheel cylinder whilst topping off the m/c.?     I can buy the Purolator and Valvoline filters here in Australia at half the price of the Toyota OEM. Both my Toyotas are still under new car warranty, do you think the non OEM filters are as good, and I believe fitting the non OEM filters will not cause any possible warranty issues. Roger

    Capacity of Power Steering systems

    I have a Toyota Kluger/Highlander and Toyota Corolla and nowhere can I find out the capacity of the power steering systems fluid. Anyone know? Also is there any benefit in changing out the factory fill steering fluids at 25k and 6k miles respectively and replacing with Redline? Roger

    Cost of Mobil and Castrol

    Topped up my stash today. Mobil 1 10W-30 $82 AUD for 5 litres, Castrol Edge synthetic 5W-30 $39 AUD for 5 litres. Now I know the Castrol is grp 111 but so is the Mobil. So now I have a stash of the Castrol and my affair with Mobil is at an end. Roger

    Personally I change at 1k and 2.5k with Havoline dino then Mobil 1 at 5k then follow 5k oci as per Toyota schedule. Have done this with my 2005 Kluger/Highlander V6 and 2006 Corolla. Maybe not essential but I enjoy doing it and the cost is not a major factor. Roger
