    Best leather conditioner?

I have used many cleaners/conditioners for leather over the years. Leatherique, Meguires, BMW, Autoglym etc. The best result in my opinion is to use warm water with a small amount of pure soap formulated for woolens/delicates and apply with a terry toweling cloth then buff off with a dry cloth...

When should Toyota ATF filters be replaced?

I have a 2005 Kluger/Highlander awd and do a drain/refill every year. Do not intend to drop the pan at all, the filter is just a screen type and the Toyota shop manual makes no mention of the need to clean or replace. I also wonder what the life of the tranny is, I hope as long as the car as I...

    Amsoil v Redline prices

I use at the moment Redline gear oils in the transmissions, tfr case and diff of my 2 Toyotas. However it is time for scheduled change and I note that the Amsoil equivalents are just over half the cost of Redline here in Australia (USA prices are about the same) Is Redline worth the extra or...

    T-IV or Maxlife

I have a Kluger/Highlander and also do a drain /refill at 20k kms/12k miles which has been 4.3 liters for the 4 times I have done it. Would like to go to Amsoil but it is very expensive and I feel would be of no benefit to my Kluger in view of the service the transmission receives. Roger

New winner in value for money...NOT

I have given up on Mobil 1 because it is too expensive and in my opinion poor value. I now use Castrol Edge 5W-30 in my 2 Toyotas at one third of the price of Mobil. I know my engines will not suffer with the Castrol. Roger

Recommendation for a high-quality oil extractor?

Well I have an expensive model I bought and used in UK a couple of years ago. It is powered by my air compressor, I used it 3 or 4 times and never use it now nor intend to. It was slow to use and I found it clumsy. Normal drain plug for me now. Roger

Another 08 corolla oil ? - Oil Filter, Toyota or ?

The Toyota OEM filter is extremely well constructed, better in my opinion than Purolator Pure One. As for better filtration I cannot say but from now on I will use Toyota OEM on my Corolla and Kluger/Highlander. I am using Castrol Edge 5W-30 in the Corolla and Mobil 1 10W-30 so far in the Kluger...
