    TGMO 0W-20, 9,950 mi on oil, 2012 Elantra GLS,127K

Most Toyota dealerships around OKC use Mobil Super 0w20. This was confirmed with the oil distributer that delivers the oil. However, the part # on the invoice will still show the TGMO number.

I have had good luck with AC Delco Synthetic Brake Lubricant Part# 10-4019 it is also rated at 2000*F This is what GM advises to use. It comes in an 8oz can so it should last a good while. http://www.rmsautoparts.com/proddetail.php?prod=10-4019 These are good people to order from. The GM...

    Brake pad bracket behaviour

Pushing the slide pin all the way in the bore and then gently lifting the sealed area of the boot to expel the trapped air is the recommended procedure. If it is still sucking air in the boot afterward, then more than likely the boots are drawing in air from a bad boot seal when being moved.

    Check that Duramax Transfer Case!

From what I have seen and read in my owners manual, all transfer cases in the GMT900 07-present GM trucks spec Dex VI in manual and auto transfer cases.

Cummins 4BT: Smoke vs fuel dilution & 2 stroke oil

Excessive fuel dilution can be caused by the small fuel pump leaking fuel into the camshaft bore or the front seal on the injection pump. 900-950 may cause a problem with PTO engagement. If it were in a truck with a manual trans, it would be just fine. Advancing the timing a bit could help with...

    New AC/Delco Filters

On another note, take a look at the May 2009 Archive from the above blog. Pretty interesting pics of a failed aftermarket oil filter. http://www.sandyblogs.com/techlink/2009/05/

Best filter for new 09 Silverado with 5.3ltr

Just a quick FYI...was in the parts store today and thought I would take a look at a couple different filters. One thing that caught my eye is that it seems as though the PF-48 AC Delco filter is not a E-core made filter. Instead, it had a steel center tube and was stamped "ZZ" on the face of...

09 Chevrolet 5.3ltr switch to syn?

Hello, I recently purchased a new 09 Silverado 1500 with the 5.3ltr engine. I am currently setting at 440 total miles on the truck. I am planning on dumping the factory fill out at about 500-600 miles, if anything, for peace of mind, and was wondering what the the general opinion was on...

Best filter for new 09 Silverado with 5.3ltr

One last thing....I noticed that the Mobil 1 oil filters use a synthetic fiber blend media rather than a paper media like the Wix and other brands. Is there any benefit to running the synthetic media opposed to the paper?
