I was checking out the G23 over at Davidson's. I like the description of this one:

I think the original poster's question was whether or not to use his EDC Shield 9mm or his Glock 23 .40.
I think the best bear weapon would be an Stryker mounted Mk 19, with a full load out of HE rounds. But that's just me.
I think if you were going to carry anyway, the .40 would be a better choice. There are other animals out there, also, including rabid ones and two-legged ones.
Of the M1A models, that is the one I would own. The SOCOM is too short, the standard is too long, the Scout Squad is...just right.
You made a really good deal for that rifle. Congrats!
I have a soft spot for those rifles. I had to tote an M1 Garand around in boot camp, and I qualified with...

Thanx for making me feel worse about not being able to find one
My comments, although true, were somewhat tongue-in-cheek. I am not trying to imply that a Hercules can take on a modern fighter.
I have to disagree with the carrier landing. It was not really a stunt. They were serious. That exercise was trying to determine the viability of a C-130 on a...
Were any of these planes mentioned ever equipped with 105mm howitzer, able to carry a GBU-43/B MOAB, or able to land, stop, and takeoff again, unassisted, on a carrier flight deck? I think not.

If you ever have warranty claim, that dealer is going to be the one involved. Me personally?. I would get it changed at 3750. It would be easy to deny a warranty claim under severe service. If they are the ones changing at the severe service level, then it would be much harder for them to deny...
I shipped a couple of revolvers to S&W a couple of years ago, and then they shipped them back. All by Fedex. They handle firearms differently than their regular packages. I would insure, however, because anything can happen.
As a GENERAL rule of thumb, the DI engines soot the oil and dilute the oil with gasoline. Your engine's DI and port injection should alleviate some of this, but we don't know yet. The soot in DI engine oil was a sufficient enough concern that auto manufacturers pushed for the SN+ spec.
There is...
The reason I suggested the QSUD D1G2 5W-30 are:

The QSUD D1G2 5W-30 is one of the higher viscosity D1G2 oils I have seen, so far.
If you don't own and have experience with a modern DI turbo engine, I would suggest you not advise on this. It's a whole...
That engine is running a lot of boost. Me, personally, I would change the oil at about 2k, run QSUD D1G2 5W-30, and change it at the 5k mark thereafter.
