    Amsoil Signature Series & GF-7

Hopefully once and for all these Tundra engines get figured out. AMSOIL Signature Series will be going in. Keeping my original engine to 5K with EP.

    Valvoline Restore and Protect

My son’s f150 sees mostly 4 mile drives. Valvoline Restore and Protect has been in the sump since last fall. I checked the oil last spring and it still looked new so I left it. Will change it in the fall. Should have 4K miles, lol.

impulse Mobil 1 ESP 0w30 buy - use in what vehicle?

I was thinking on trying HPL no VI oils, 5W20 in my Tundra. Since it’s now on the engine replacement recall I’m not wasting my money. I’ll stick to EP probably 5W30. 27K and it’s running great. Oil gets changed every 5K.

Are your driving plans changing due to fuel costs?

No. Sitting here idling for two hours waiting for my kids swim meet to start. While he naps, lol. It was 3.77 last I checked.

Time For a New Gasoline Experiment in the Pilot

Keeping it out of VCM will be the biggest benefit. I put a SVCM in our 19 Pilot. 94K currently, AMSOIL Signature Series 0W20 and now 0W30 its whole life. 87 gas top tier or not. Redline SL1 before every oil change. I haven’t noticed any rise on the dip stick from fuel.

Thoughts on BG MOA oil additive?

Amsoil 10w-30 Small Engine Oil noisier than SAE 30 in Briggs and Stratton

My Briggs recycler seems to run pretty good with Briggs synthetic 5W30. Even in the Texas heat.

Well it looks like they extended it again. My 5/24 build was just added.

Mixing Mobil 1 Extended Performance 0W20 and 5W30

It’s not complicated at all. I’m not looking for benefits. I was wondering if I could do this with two of the same oils. This wouldn’t be permanent.

    “Clean your MAF!” - everyone

I clean mine every 30K. Same time when I clean the reusable air filters…Dryflow type. This time on the Pilot my wife commented her MPG’s went up 6 mpgs. It’s showing 28.

Mixing Mobil 1 Extended Performance 0W20 and 5W30

What would be the potential problems. What I may do is use up the 0W20 and top off with the 5W30.

Mixing Mobil 1 Extended Performance 0W20 and 5W30

Filter mag isn’t a bad idea. Unfortunately Toyota also services the truck at 10K…oil change. I split the difference at 5K and do it myself. At 10K I syphon out the dealer bulk and add my own. Yes it’s a waste of money but it shows that the service was done. Like an idiot I paid for the prepaid...

Mixing Mobil 1 Extended Performance 0W20 and 5W30

Yeah it’s a gamble. Other manufacturers have their issues too. Engine failures on this engine are 1%. So far my original is running great. MPG’s are 20-25. I’m three months short of the new recall. No metal in the oil filter housing. The oil has some transparency when changed at 5K intervals.

There’s no tough love. I’m fully aware on the 3.4L.

Mixing Mobil 1 Extended Performance 0W20 and 5W30

Yeah I could do that too, lol. This August we’ll be heading to Utah from Texas. I was planning to go a thicker oil for the trip.
