    What's your bike light?

Just FYI, but you probably can take that reflector off the bars. I don't know what the laws are like in Illinois but in California we do not need to have a white reflector in the front if we have a light and now a front light is required. In other words a light is required and no reflector...

    Primacy MXM4/MXV4 or Yoko Envigor

IMO, if the car recommends H-rated or higher, be it V, W, etc, it is not a good idea to go below H. T rated and lower tires do not have the nylon cap ply that makes H and higher rated tires much safer. Some tires are offered in both T and H rated but that does not mean the construction is...

    Primacy MXM4/MXV4 or Yoko Envigor

I have had the Yokohama Avid Envigor for about 6 months, and 4000 miles driven during that time. Compared to the Michelin MXV4 S8, or whatever came on the 08 Camry, the Yokohama definitely have better dry traction and somewhat quieter. Steering response was much improved also. Wet traction is...

    Michelin Hydroedge Treadlife

Given that many people cannot even keep their tires inflate, how many know that the tire can wear out due to age and not just tread wear. There is one thread here where a customer brought the OP a tire from the 1980s to install on his vehicle.

    TPMS-Mine Paid for Itself Today

The newer systems with the sensor in the tires are much better than the ones that use ABS sensors. I borrowed my parents minivan to move some lumber and the light is constantly coming on so I don't know when I actually have a flat. The only thing I really found when I went to measure the...

    Michelin Hydroedge Treadlife

Does it concern anyone in a bad way that some of these tires are rated for 90,000 miles? It sounds good on paper because it may mean less down time to change tires and lower operating costs, even if the tires cost more initially, but the age of these tires when do wear out is what concerns me...

    Supertech Sythetic

I think the general consensus here is that the oil is OK for the price. Nothing spectacularly good or bad. It should be ok for 4000-5000 mi OCI.

    Best Oil Bottle...

I haven't tried the Mobil bottles yet, but the spout on the Castrol Syntec bottles fits right into the fill hole on the top of my engine. I found with the Syntec bottles, it's easier to control when you start pouring with the neck up rather than down.

This is a Denso filter that I once found. It fits Toyota 4 cylinder engines.

Camry 2.4: I don't need an anti-DB valve, so where

Toyota only has two different filters for it's 4 cylinder engines. The only difference is that one of the filters is about 1/2" to 3/4" taller than the other one. Gasket and thread are exactly the same. Since the 4 cylinder engines are typically used in more economical cars, it would cost less...

    Toyota Equivalent?

There is no direct substitute for Toyota Pink available after market. However, G-05 or "generic" green coolant can be used in place of it. What I mean is that the formulation is different, but G-05 should still be ok to replace Toyota Pink.

    Toyota Equivalent?

My reason is the same. The closest Toyota dealer is 85 miles away in a town I don't visit often if at all. No way I'm gonna spend 4 hours driving to buy a jug of coolant when I can buy one in town. My 00 Camry ran green Prestone between 2002 and 2006 during which I accumulated some 60000 miles...

I'm Tired of Seeing Ribbons on Backs of Cars

Prolly not. Some people would just be an ____ about it. I remember reading a post about some guy who was driving a manual stop and go up a hill and it was obvious because the car would roll back slightly on start up. The guy behind him, just to be an ____, kept pulling right up to his bumper and...

what a best place to have a brake fluid change?

You can also get a one man brake bleeder from Pep Boys or Autozone for about $10 or you can get a set of check valves for the nipples.
