    PUP 5W30 quieted Toyota 2.5L startup rattle completely

    Does that engine have a VVT-i setup on it? Edit: So I looked it up and it does have the VVT-i setup. On my 1ZZFE, it has it also and I also get a rattle at startup that dissipates after 1 second…….tried everything and the issue continues. I also was told that it is normal (?)…….time will tell.

    With every used car I purchase: After an initial application of one full bottle of Redline added to my tank, I run it till the fuel level is 1/8 full. Re-fill the tank. I then change oil/filter and start it on a 1oz to 4 gallons of fuel maintenance dosage, Utilizing Top-tier fuel as its base. YMMV
