Changing Viscosity for Summer and for Cleaning?

Timing chain sure but not guides and tensioner. They are wear items, I'd just replace them, just asking to do it again. Great job on clean-up, VRP 5w30, HPL, Motul X-Clean 5w40, Amsoil SS or even a standard xW40/50 with some Gumout Multisystem Tune Up or Kreen @ 1oz/qt or HPL 40 cleaner ect will...

What are you working on today?

My dog has bad hips and we give him Baileys CBD oil and that helps him a lot. Order online from their site, it's somewhere in California. Maybe a long-term option for you and him. Hopefully, he gets better.

2017 Honda Accord 2.4L CVT Fluid Leveling?

Should have done cold, easy what comes out goes back, pull level plug and be done w it. To level, front on ramps and jack up the rear to level along pinch welds/door jamb. Throw something under it like a spare tire if it bothers you.

What are you working on today?

Been working on my '05 Element for the last week and a half. I hoped for a simple brake, rotors, and hoses swap but living in the overly salted, pothole-ridden roads of PA, of course, nothing was a simple unbolt rebolt job. The passenger front caliper bracket had 1 slide pin seized, so I ran to...

    Strut replacement

Nah, just added some thread locker and a 1/4 turn more, they won't come out. Don't remember ever torquing a strut/shock ever and never had one budge before. Now if an excuse for the wife, yes need a tool dear! ;-)

Should capacitors on old ECM be replaced?

I had my ECU and PSOM rebuilt in my '94 F350. It had corrosion and leaking capacitors and resistors in the ECU causing shifting issues. I wouldn't just replace them if all is well though. I don't like poking the bear for no reason.

Time to switch from Valvoline Restore and Protect back to high mileage oil?

Valvoline Restore and Protect is not a cleaning oil to just use for a short period of time. It is a fully formulated oil that can be used indefinitely. Keep running for the life of the car

Sound on the right/passenger side when wheels turn

If scraping, I cannot hear anything in the video though, could be the dust shield got bent into the rotor. Maybe check that or the other thought i have for noises at axles is bearings going bad. Good luck and dont take it to a dealership, support a local friend or mechanic.

Help with a piston soak problem aka did I destroy my engine?

B12 at 1oz per qt is what they are referring too not cans. Glad it is better as you could be replacing the engine w that much in there. Keep the Valvoline Restore and Protect for the life of the vehicle would be my vote

Spark plug change on the Tiguan

Bosch is fine especially the difference in price. Now if you went autolites diff story. I dont mind Autolites copper plugs in my 90s but NGK, Denso or Bosch for platinum and up. Now we did go Champion in my buddies Pacifica but that was the oem plug, so we kept those. Plugs look good

    Oil quantity, Ford Godzilla V8

OM on my Element says 4.5qt, I dump in 5qts and sits right at the top of the hashmarks. I'd top it up to Full and just remember for next time.

What are you working on today?

These were removed from my buddies '17 Pacifica w ~ 168k a couple weeks ago, pretty crusty. Probably original when talking to my buddy, we did the coils as well.

What are you working on today?

Finished all the stuff on my f350 today. Last item was the ignition switch which turned from 10 minutes to 1hour, rrr. Stupid brass thread insert pulled from the old one in the harness and was stuck. Drilled a couple holes in the brass, was able to pry it apart a hair w a flat screwdriver and...

What are you working on today?

Haha, yeah I thought about it, it was noisy when I bought it but it is quiet as a church mouse with Lubegard Syn PS fluid in it. If the Lubegard hadn't helped it, I was going to swap it but until then she stays.
