What are you doing right now?

Watching Everybody Loves Raymond while I wait for the oil drip to stop. Oil change time for the Canyon.

Have you ever had a fuel issue from a gas station?

When I was 12 or 13, my parents and I embarked on a road trip from Wyoming to Florida to see family. It was in a 6-month-old '82 Chevy C10 Silverado regular cab. We were traveling through the midwest and filled up at some gas station, I don't recall where, and about halfway through that tank of...

    EV lots getting cleaned out.

I wish more people would sit down and do the math on this before they jump. It will take a very long time for an EV to pay for itself in this manner... Likely much longer than they'll actually keep it.

    Gulfstream crash - Dominican Republic

RIP to the pilots, thankfully no one else was on board and no one on the ground was hurt. Will be interesting to see the details of why the plane veered off the runway. This could have been uneventful but seems as though something happened during landing...

What are you watching on tv right now?

Bewitched reruns. Specifically, the one that introduced Paul Lynde as Samantha's driving instructor. 😄😅😂😆🤣

TOYOTA possibly bringing small truck ( Corolla ) to compete with FORD Maverick in U.S..

So everyone's just flatly refusing to build and sell a body-on-frame compact pickup.

    Does anyone remember these lights?

Funny to think that my '93 Shadow had an under-hood light, 2026 Mazda....nada. Not progress in my eyes, but I'm a minority in my family and circle of friends.. I actually open my hood.

Are vehicle owners leaving their tow ball in place subject to to insurance fraud?

Super entertaining when the ball hooks around the bumper bar of the car that hit them and everybody's jumping up and down on their cars trying to get them separated enough to pull the pin. 😆

post your latest differential fluid change

'15 Canyon, 90K miles, 3rd change, Redline 75W-90. Diffs seem to be happy, they're quiet, very little material on the magnets and the fluid looked great.

Spark plug replacement - 2015 GM Canyon 3.6L

After denying me use of the AC Delcos I planned to provide, I thought he might put it on the estimate, but no. That's a question I'll have to ask later if I move forward with having them do it.

Spark plug replacement - 2015 GM Canyon 3.6L

I'd love to hear you guys' opinion on this quote. Sun Auto in Wylie, TX. They refuse to use my dealership -purchased AC Delco spark plugs. Meanwhile, the transmission spill, filter & fill is $380 with my supplied GM filter and pan gasket. Eye watering coin for a spark plug swap, IMO. Thoughts?

    Didn't buy new car

More and more often, consumers are assigned the task of being beta testers for new cars. Not excited about the slew of issues that may await me in my new CX50. If I can get the bugs worked out, hopefully I can keep this car a very long time. I'm tired of being the beta. 😄

Are your driving plans changing due to fuel costs?

I was gifted with an employer who keeps our office on the rail line. 28 minute ride from my train station to my employer's door. I do feel blessed in this respect. Takes a little longer to get to work, but the commute home is much quicker. I wave at everybody as they're sitting still on Central...

Are your driving plans changing due to fuel costs?

I'm now riding the train to work every day, which only requires a 7-mile drive to the train station versus a 19 mile drive to the office. No more special trips to the grocery store, that's done on the way home from the train station.

What are you doing right now?

Front and rear diff, and transfer case fluids changed on the Canyon. Redline 75w90 and AC Delco Dexron VI. 90,000 total miles, 30,000 on this interval. Rear diff had a little bit of material on the magnet, fluid was amber. Front diff had nothing on the magnet, also amber. Transfer case looked...

The Jony Ive EV Ferrari - looks like a flattened Equinox EV

I guess I never would have thought that Ferrari, the manufacturer that produced the 288 GTO, would be capable of producing something this offensive to the eyes.

Started a healthy diet, when do I start to feel better?

On March 27th, I got tired of what I'm seeing in the mirror and put myself on a diet. I cut out all sugar, all bread, and all red meat in an effort to get triglycerides and LDL under control. My trouble lies in what my employer provides us for free in my office. All sorts of sugary and salty...
