    Need a New Frig

Wife bought a Samsung frig 2 years ago against my advice. JUNK! The icemaker constantly freezes up and won't make ice and has to be defrosted, just like a 1950s frig. It froze again this morning after being defrosted only 2 weeks ago. I've read that this is a common problem and Samsung doesn't...

    Classic movies

Thanks for that list Donald. Some good flicks on there that I haven't thought about as I'm catching up on movie watching lately. I saw Great Escape this past weekend. Haven't seen that one since I was about 12 yo. Lately I saw Bridge on the River Kwai, Ten Commandments, Ben Hur and a few...

Critique my purchase: 1962 Dodge Lancer

Cool car!! I remember seeing those and the Valiants around often when I was a kid. A neighbor had a Lancer in white. If I had that car I'd have a lot of fun just getting it into a reliable, local ride. Enjoy!

2019 New Ram vs 2019 Ram Classic

A while back I heard that the E-Torque system was giving a lot of problems and dealers didn't know the fix. Trucks were being laid up in the shops for weeks at a time. Pretty sure I read about it on Edmunds consumer reviews.

Anyone have a passive hot water tank?

By a "passive" hot water tank do you mean an "indirect fired" hot water tank? I have oil heat with a 65 gallon Bradford White indirect tank with its own circulator. We have sometimes had 2 showers, the dishwasher, the washing machine and maybe a sink or 2, all going at the same time and never...

    CVT Issues

Puckrobber, I also thank you for the courtesy for updating us on the outcome. So often people don't bother to do that. Very rude in my opinion. I'm happy that everything worked out for you. I don't want to rain on you parade but I understand from researching that even the replacement CVT...

Rental Car Review: 4 Days with a Tesla Model 3 Performance

Interesting write up. I feel that electric cars will someday be the mainstream but not for quite some time because of the long charging time. I would like to drive one though just to get the experience of it. What company rents out Tesla cars?

Would you worry about this tire for 6K miles?

I agree with it looking like a minor scuff. The scuffed wheel in the same area also indicates a scuff to me.

    VW Plastic Oil Drain Plugs

If it was me I'd change it every few oil changes. I'd also always have an extra one on hand before you do an oil change just in case the current one breaks.

    New Truck

Sierra048 and Buster: My son has an '08 Xterra (see my sig) that I have driven many times. The brake pedal has always felt spongy as if there was air in the lines. They have been checked and that's just the way the system is constructed. When looking into that issue in the past I recall reading...

    New Truck

Congrats and good luck with the new truck! I know a few peeps with the Frontier and the 05-15 Xterra (same power train) and none of them have had any problems. You can use 5W-30 dino all year long in New Jersey if you want too. Good color too. We have a Gun Metal Nissan in the family and it...
