Oil difference between cruiser and Superbike

My post was not related to Veedol oils specifically. The confusion comes from the fact that my motorcycle requires a strong but basic oil. 1. It is a 500cc torquey single which makes its power below 4500 rpm. Usually 500-650cc bikes have a twin cylinder where each cylinder would be 250-300cc...

Oil difference between cruiser and Superbike

There are 15w-50 oils for both superbikes and cruisers, what would be the difference? I know cruisers and tourers require long distance riding at high speeds. Superbikes on the other hand are revved higher for shorter distances. How is this related to select the correct oil for the same grade?

    changing engine oil

I dont know about that but My sister is surely going to get her oil changes done there now. The 3.5 V6 engine is pretty good on oil so she should be fine with a semi-synth.

    changing engine oil

So, my sister visited VOIC, Pepboys and Walmart. VIOC and Pepboys quoted $90.00 for oil and filter change with coupons. Walmart was a straight $50.00. plus, the Walmart near her house did not agree to do the $9.99 oil change. How are Pepboys and VIOC oil change after coupons coming to $90.00?

    changing engine oil

I do my own oil changes, however my sister cannot do an oil change herself. 1. The works package does include 6qts of oil as is required but is semi-synth in comparison. Do they have additional charges for used oil disposal and such? https://owner.ford.com/service/service-event/the-works.html...

Hi, I am not from the US so please explain how this works. My sisters' 08 Lincoln MKZ needs an Oil change at 130000 miles. Her oil changes till date have been through a local friendly mechanic which costs about $75. I was looking online for oil change prices and places to save some money...

package oil change for a 2007 Nissan Altima

Just purchased a 2007 Nissan Altima 2.5 CVT. The car has been driven 170000 miles and has had 3 owners. I am planning on a basic overhaul of almost all consumables including the following 1. Engine Oil/ filter. (is 0w-40 Synth from Amsoil or Pennzoil good to keep the engine silent?) 2. Power...

    Mobil1 vs. Veedol Syntron

Veedol has lots of oils approved by BMW and Mercedez-Benz. Euro Spec syntron 5w-40 is not one of them. But the PDS mentions that it meets the requirements. Mobil1 0w-40 also says that it meets the requirements for vw 503.01, GM-LL-A-025, FIAT 9.55535 and API CF. Now if Veedol is a bad oil...

    Mobil1 vs. Veedol Syntron

I was looking for a new oil for my vehicles. It came to my attention that the specs on paper for these two oils are similar. But the price for Veedol is almost 50% less (Veedol is now an Indian brand) while Mobil1 is still imported. Veedol Syntron Euro Spec 5w-40 (SN/CF, A3/B4, MB 229.3/229.5...

    Castrol Magnatec Stop-Start 5W-30 A3/B4

I was looking for a 5w-30 oil with 229.5 specs for my car and reached this thread. I checked the Euro, US and AU magnatec start stop oil specs but the Indian oil seems to have completely different formulations. It is 5w-30 rated a3/b4 SN and ILSAC-gf5. But no BMW or Merc ratings on the spec...

    Petronas Syntium 7000 0W40 / Mitsubishi 4G15T

After you suggested syntium7000, I still went ahead and filled it with liqui moly 10w-40 high tech. The oils is worth the money and keeps the engine smooth and silent. But takes a toll on FE compared to the syntium3000 I had before. But your post about grades and approvals was very helpful...

Choosing oil with both CJ4 and SN specs

So a dual ch4/an oil will be less fuel efficient and can be disastrous for the catcon. Is it good for the longetivity of the engine? Is there an advantage for gaoline engines?

Choosing oil with both CJ4 and SN specs

What are the pros and cons of using a API CJ4/SN specced oil (I am looking at a 5w30) compared to a normal 5w30 SN oil? Is it a better or a worse oil for a standard gasoline car? What makes a CJ4/SN oil better/worse than standard SN oil?
