    Mann HU816 (28 month service)

Just did an oil change on a moderately modified E92 N54 335i today. This was previously my car that I sold to a good friend back in July, 2016. He changed the Hengst filter with a Mann sometime in February, 2018 but for some reason kept the oil in. The oil that I drained out has been in the...

    Cartidge Hengst 11427521008HE Open

OEM filter for 2007 BMW 550i with the 4.8L V8. Was in service for 8 months and 10k km (6k miles). One interval of Castrol Edge FTT 0W40 European formula. I think BMW recommended 15k mile OCI's. I've always changed it twice a year. No drama here, filter is working as intended.

    [Cut Open] Fram XG9688

First C&P for me. Sorry for the blurry pics as I was in a hurry. Filter was on a 03 Mitsubishi Montero 3.8 V6. In service for 14 months but only logged 16k km (10k miles). Oil used was 2 equal intervals of MotoMaster 0W40 European formula and Mobil1 0W40 FS. Filter held up great without any issues.

Coolant recommendation for 03 Mitsubishi Montero

Vehicle is 2003 Mitsubishi Montero with the 6G75 3.8L V6. I recently replaced the timing belt along with water pump and tensioner with help from a friend. We were originally going to drain and flush the coolant but ran out of time. We ended adding Motomaster LL premixed coolant to replace the...

    new tires

I just installed a set of Cooper Discovery ATW's sized P265/75/16 (31.6") tires onto my Montero earlier this week. So far they are better in every category than the Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armors that it replaced. - Snow traction is phenomenal. - Quietest AT tire I've came across. - Wet...

    5w30 vs 10w30 synthetic

I just changed the oil in the RAV4 from max life semi blend to synpower 5w30 last week. Life is now much easier with -20c's. Have no problem with -30c without plugging in block heater.
