Need recommendation for my next oil change on 2004 Lexus LS430 with 119K miles

Thanks! I checked the records and both G Oil and NextGen are oldest. I am planning to use G Oil at 120K and leave the filter in for another 5K miles. Based on the specs on the back of the bottle, is this T5 compatible with Gasoline engines? Specifically Lexus LS430?

Need recommendation for my next oil change on 2004 Lexus LS430 with 119K miles

Vavoline NextGen 5W30 Dyno is the oldest. Then G Oil, then Quaker State, and then Shell Rotella. I kept buying Full Synthetics with rebates and these oils never got their chance. That reminds me, I just got Pennzoil Platinum® High Mileage™ Full Synthetic 5W-30 as well. So that is also an...

Need recommendation for my next oil change on 2004 Lexus LS430 with 119K miles

2004 Lexus LS430 with 119K miles. Factory oil spec is Dyno 5W30 in 5K miles. Current oil is Quaker State Full Synthetic 5W30, changed at 115K with Fram Ultra 3600 large filter back in Nov 2018. Most of the mileage has been short trips. Probably 90/10 local/highway. I made sure I took it to...

    HM from the start?

Very good question. I was wondering about the same. Not I have a follow-up question. Can you use HM oil once in a while? Meaning switch back and forth between Hm and non-HM oil? Some threads I got an impression that once you start using HM, you have to continue using it.

Engine oil for 2004 Lexus LS 430

I have used Mobil 1 full synthetic 5-W30 but I found Penzzoil Platinum full synthetic 5-W30 to be the best. I have the same year/model. As such, any 5-w30 oil should do just fine. One of the best engines out there. People have used regular oil just fine.

    Thoughts on M1 V-Twin 20-50 Oil?

I have vulcan 900. I don't use this specific oil but I have M1 15w-50 in right now and it is working out great. No clutch slips, cooler engine, and mpg is at 50.

jack stands recommended with car ramps?

I used to drive car over ramps for oil changes but once I figured out that jacking up one side still worked well, I switched my method. I still use stands after jacking up one side. Rhino Ramps are pretty strong and safe though. Never had an issue with them (except they slide forward. I solved...

How Often to Drain and Refill AT's?

I recommend that you follow best interval for your specific transmission and car. It can very so much that it can be as little as 10-15K intervals to 100K intervals. My Isuzu Trooper transmission blew up even with 30K drains/refills. It depends on quality of transmission and also load vehicle...

Toyota Type IV or Toyota WS?

I stick with WS on LS but if you must switch then switch to Maxlife like others said. I didn't see compelling reason to make a switch. Savings were insignificant in grand schema of things with LS.
