This is why I run this oil in my SR20DET. I like the Zinc and high heat tolerance.

Why wouldn’t HDEO be a good choice? SR has a similar cam and rocker design to a flat tappet so that’s why I was looking at high zinc oils.

Hey guys. So I am running Rotella T6 5W-40now in my SR20DET making 250whp. I ran this oil because it tends to have a higher zinc content than PCMO. Any negative affects here? No catalysts. Also, are these small fluctuations in my electric oil pressure gauge a sign of a bad main bearing?

I believe he means using RTC to seal the coolant ports between the timing cover and block. This is an area prone to leaking.

In other words, how can the Fram be specifically made for both the ford 3.5 and dodge 3.7? They would have different pressure bypass ratings.

Already returned it. Couldn't find a motorcraft contact number. I only run motorcraft because of the Ford designed threaded end bypass and the factory bypass PSI for my Duratec 3.5. Wouldn't another filter be technically inferior due to it fitting a wide range of vehicles with different bypass?

As you can see, the ADBV is sticking out by the threaded part half way. Shouldn't be there.

I'm currently using PUP 5W-20 in my 3.5 Duratec and it seems to like it. Got it cheap on amazon and got a $10 mail in rebate, so the entire oil change ended up costing $26. It meets WSS-M2C945-A and SN so I cant go wrong really.

I also shook vigorously. The stuff at the bottom seems like a semi liquid sediment. I wish someone from Pennzoil would weigh in on this. Oddly enough the 5qt bottle was mostly clean. Makes me wonder what additive my sump is missing now.
