Just take a picture of your license and keep it on your phone. That way, if you don't have your physical document, you can show the picture of it as proof/ID. I used to have folks do that quite often on traffic stops. The DMV will tell me if the license is valid/not valid either way, and I'd cut...
Perfect! Just got approved and have the same 6 month no interest promo period as the Tire Rack Synchrony card does. 4-235/35-19 ExtremeContact Sport 02s are on the way!
PCV/breather is probably fine then.
It's a VW ;). Didn't think a coolant temp sensor could do that either.
Anything over +/- 5° on phase adaptation and you should think about booking an appt. Unless you want the valves to become intimately acquainted with the pistons .
All in all, I...
Do you have serious vacuum when you try to remove the oil fill cap? If not, PCV is probably still ok. The RKX kit is a great alternative to replacing the entire cover. ~$25 for the membrane kit and it's Viton, so way more durable than the OEM piece. I've replaced just ripped diaphragms with RKX...
Has the breather been replaced? Any oil leaks? Believe it or not, a bad G62 temp sensor can cause rough running on start-up until idle drop. Had that happen on my CCTA. That kind of consumption points to the pesky low tension ring stick (which the piston soak seems to have loosened up some)...
I'm partial to this stuff. Used it for a plethora of things inside and outside. It be super strong.

Hey neighbor, no trade off around here when it comes to temps as some might suggest. Heck, you can even use straight 30wt. and be fine. Lots of folks confuse winter ratings, pour points, and cold pumpability for low temp use, essentially when either will work just fine if there is a concern...
Infamous P2187 code for the 2010 VW Passat CCTA engine. This could end up being a myriad of issues so fired the parts cannon at the most usual culprits. Nada. Ordered a smoke machine did the entire intake tract. Leaky intake manifold gasket from where one of the bolts secures it to the cylinder...
This all day long.
Have them on 2 of my fleet including the Tiguan, so its sort of close to the C-HR. Comfy, quiet, and superb wet performance. A little soft in the sidewall, but doesn't significantly slow the responsiveness.
Do you have any young, neighborhood kids willing to learn? I've had a few "sessions" with some of the kids in my neighborhood that were interested in doing light mechanical work/maintenance on cars. All now work on their own cars and one makes a few bucks doing oil changes for other neighbors...
I'd check the fuel hose in the tank and the tank vent. Some Echos still use the cheap PVC fuel hose material in some units and it fails/cracks after a while, so you can be sucking air as the tank level drops. Have you tried filling the tank when this happens?
Tank vents get clogged and can...
Go OEM Honda. I've tried those HIPA fuel filters and they were a very loose fit compared to the genuine Honda ones. The plugs? Not a chance. Whats that old adage? You can pay me now or pay me later 😁.
According to Pagid's catalog, the only compound available in the FMSI 1610 (4-piston Brembo caliper for Type R and a few others) is RS-42, a track compound pad. Too bad, Pagid (TMD Friction Group) makes some awesome semi-metallics for a lot of Euro cars.
Do you like how the OEM pads perform? If they give you what you want and stop well without issue, why not another set?
Otherwise, I've heard some Type R fanatics like the Paragons. P2s are street pads, while the P3s are aggressive street pads/light track pads. Obviously the street pads will be...
Wow, those are THIN! My Astros fit some pretty tightly spaced flats, and haven't found anything I need something thinner for. Yet. But if I did, maybe I could knock off an armored car and get a set of those Snap-ons 😁.

Shop around I guess. I've never been able to clean my drains as well as the folks with proper equipment, especially if you need a root cutter. Luckily, I have a great, honest plumber that gets my drains really clean and is super reasonable with his price (he likes bourbon and cigars 😁). Cleans...
