My research on the values of syn oil tells me that it benefits the engine... Particularly with reference to better gas mileage. Because it lasts longer ,ie. I can travel twice as far between oil changes. I drive about 40 miles per day highway and 10 miles per day city . Twice a month I do 80...- Bob98s70

I have a 1998 Volvo S70 with 202,400 miles on it. My mechanic tells me that because of the High miles ,I should not switch to a synthetic oil . True or False ? Thanks- Bob98s70
