    Leaking Gear box - 2003 Suburban 5.3

I'm in the same situation on my 06 Suburban 1500. I think if I replace mine, I'm going to go with Blue Top. They are the only ones I've heard positive things about. https://bluetopsteeringgears-com.3dcartstores.com/

    Post your latest oil change

Sorry for the late response. The signature is from the tech that changed the timing belt at RM Motor Werks in Knoxville, TN a few months before I purchased the vehicle. The previous owner had them do quite a bit of work. Everything they did was top-notch!

    Toyota/Lexus 2UZ-FE V8 valve adjustment?

Our local Toyota dealer told me it’s too cost prohibitive to check/adjust, even at 240k miles. Said if I’m not having issues with the engine, not to touch them.

Favorite Cleaner For Cloth Seats ?

Spray it on stain. Gently rub the area with your fingers. Blot dry. That’s how I used it anyway. What do the directions on the bottle say?

Help me decide between a few cars

You want driving dynamics within a $6,500 budget? Look at Mazda. We had a 2005 Mazda3 SP-23 (fully loaded) hatchback with a 5 speed manual. That car was a blast to drive. Wouldn’t win many races, but fun to drive. We absolutely loved that car. Just outgrew it after we started having kids. My...

    Post your latest oil change

2007 Toyota Sequoia 4x4 Limited I picked this up back in early spring down in Knoxville, TN. Well-maintained with about 236k miles at the time. It was due for an OCI when I bought it. I like my OCI’s to hit at a 5k or 10k interval on the odometer so my plan was to start my sequence at 240k...

Favorite Cleaner For Cloth Seats ?

FLOEX, hands down. I used this religiously when I had a detailing business. It’s not a harsh chemical and it’s fairly cheap for how well it works.

    Camry vs Corolla

Camry XSE with the 4-cylinder. Not sure if it has the option for a manual. Anyway, I drove one and was blown away how nice it was and how it didn’t feel like a 4-banger. The auto trans was very impressive as well, making such good use of the 4-cylinders.

Dad is looking for a new truck

Actually, it’s because Toyota only produces a certain number of vehicles. They aren’t concerned with being the #1 sales leader - at least in the truck market. GM, for example, pushes out as many trucks as they possibly can. Quality takes a hit because of it. Toyota’s aren’t for everyone. I...

Camry needs some tires. Yoko Avid Touring

I know you want budget tires, but as guy that used to be all about “budget tires”, let me suggest something different: Michelin Defender. Definitely not a budget tire but we have them on our Sequoia and they are AMAZING in every aspect over any other “budget tire” I’ve owned over the years. Not...

From a first-Sequoia owner and recent Toyota convert, CONGRATS! That’s one hell of a truck. Love the color and the wheels. That would be my exact choice as well if I were buying one. EDIT: Can you post some pics of the interior and engine bay

    sedan recommendations

Camry XSE. Despite it being an NA 4-cylinder, it doesn’t at all feel like a 4-banger. NvH and power felt more like a V6. Traditional transmission and great gas mileage to boot. I drove one recently and it blew me away. Never thought a Camry would have impressed me as much as it did.
