    2016 5.3 ecotec oil suggestion

Current vehicle is lowered, coilovers and summer performance sticky tires. I would have to tweak car suspension and change tires/wheel combo for winter driving, etc. But moot point!

Gotcha! Yeah I was aware Kendall made by COP, definitely underrated oil. Same can be said for Mag1 (Warren). I guess its me being paranoid, I drive my vehicles hard. Especially my current VW (k04 upgrade, full bolt on...etc)

mixing gear oil for manual tran

Good info guys I see there is Redline MT90 and also Redline MTL. Some folks were mixing it at 50/50 to have a slightly less Viscosity. Winters here we sometimes get down to freezing. Ofcourse, with a manual vehicle in cold; it'll be notchy. With Amsoil it hasnt been too bad... but typically 2nd...

I had adverse effect with using the Castrol. Yes, throttle was slightly more responsive. however, With T6, I would build boost right at 3,500 - 3,800 RPM. With the castrol, Boost onset increased, felt as if had alot of boost lag... 4k range. top end was smooth though, pulled. However, i...

    13 GLI - Rotella T6 UOA - new

I feel the VW 502 cert has to do with EPA certification and standards. Car is well out of warranty, also with being modified. Been using the Rotella T6 since ~28k miles. Currently, 72k miles car is becoming high mileage for a 2013 vehicile.. sadly. Considering scraping some cash together to...

    '13 GTI 38K mi/ Castrol Edge OE 5W-40 10K

Ok As a current VW 2.0 TSI owner Please use 5K oil change intervals.. are you OUT OF YOUR MIND to do 10k oil changes on k04 application for your car? our fuel here in USA is different then Euro, also a contributing factor. Do engine favor and do 5k oil changes, costs more yes. But then...

Rotella T6 vs Gastrol Edge 0w40

I think that is a contributing factor . There was an article published by VW regarding their DI engines. That they recommend "italian tune-up" or the frequent of 3K RPM under load for 10-15 minutes to aid in burning off deposits. Gets nice and hot! lol

Thanks for Input fella's Yeah, When I moved to the T6 awhile back -- I knew it would have possibility to create higher carbon build-up on my DI engine. I had intake manifold replaced (recall/failure) at 50k Miles (if memory serves), and had them perform a valve cleaning at the time since...
