How long would you run this oil in a 4runner that holds 6.6 quarts given it's dual rated oil? I know it's a blend but it will be more robust (solid hths and starting TBN etc.). Just 5k or extend it? 4.0L V6 is port injected and easy on oil.

I don't see why folks get up in arms about the facts of HTHS levels and thicker films protecting better. LSJr isn't going to buy you a new engine. Xw20 can give you good results when used appropriately in the right applications. Some would rather get a fraction less MPGs and have less wear 100k...

Castol edge and extended performance look to be on rollback online and the 6 qt. Havoline Pro DS is old price if you get a double pack or better. Get these low prices while they last i reckon.

Yep and it's not a debate that higher hths and thicker film in fact protects better. Thinner and lower hths can get the job done I reckon but emissions nazis don't care how long your large investment lasts.

Think STP at Autozone and Napa Gold and Platinum have moved to PGI as well. First Brands destroyed Champ/Fram and they no longer exist. Mann Hummel doesn't seem interested in quality for Wix, Purolator, or any sub brand.

Curious as to what OCI folks think a port injected gasoline engine this oil could handle...thinking of running it in a 6.6 quart sump 4.0L 4runner. Usually do 7,500 to 10k using euro FS or 20k+ rated non euro oil.
