    Eneos 75W-90 GL5 synthetic?

Company has not responded to my inquiries. US website nor the bottle indicate the makeup. EU website and some US retailers say it is synthetic and the Amazon.com description say GTL mineral based oil. It has a high VI so I am guessing it is synthetic and I'll use it no matter the base oil.

first oil change in Subaru Legacy?

We purchased a new 2013 legacy (manufactured 12-12) with 300 miles on the odometer. Most of those miles were added when the car was driven from a dealer 200 miles away. Since the oil is 10 months in service, should I change it now or wait until the 3750 mile change? That will be another 6 months...

tire with softer ride in 45 series?

Car is Hyundai Elantra Tour. O.E. tire is P215/45-17 Kumho KH16. Ride is hard and traction in frozen precipitation is very poor. Any ideas on a tire that will improve the hard ride? I do not need to travel in snowy weather. Thanks.

    best a/s tire for 3 seasons-no snow

Snow traction does not matter to us-we just do not leave the house. I am concerned with wet, cold weather and the slop after the snow is removed. I have 2 tires in mind-Firestone Precision Touring and Avid Envigor. Firestone is too new for many reviews and the Envigor is mixed in snow ratings...

    tire ratings question

Current OEM tire is P225/60-17 H, UTQG A/A. Tires in this size and rating are few. One choice is T speed, UTQG A/A or H speed, UTQG A/B. Does speed rating trump the B temp or the other way around? Which is the better choice? Car is our daily driver. Thanks.

Oil for 1999 Subaru driven for low yearly mileage?

We drive our 1999 Subaru about 5-6000 miles a year since we have retired. I plan on doing 6 month oil changes. Can a non-synthetic oil do this without any problems? Car has 84,000 miles on it. We have owned it since new, no leaks or usage. Thank you.

low SAPS oil in 2009 Nissan

Our 2009 Nissan 2.5 l calls for 5W-30 SM oil. I have had good results using Total 0W-30 oil, but it is SL. Total makes a SM oil, but it is low SAPS for German vehicles with particulate filters. Will it pass warranty specs since it is SM? Thanks.

SL oil in a 2009 that calls for SM?

Title says it all. I sold our MB and now have 15 qts of GC (SL oil) and purchased a 2009 Nissan with the 2.5 l engine that calls for 5W-30 SM oil. Any problems other than non-warranty weight? Thanks.

    Pennzoil Platinum 5W-40

I can not find this oil anywhere in Columbia, Missouri. Not at NAPA, O'Reilly or AutoZone nor can I find a dealer on-line in the US. Overseas, no problem. It is listed on Pennzoil's website as of Feb 2008.

gold GC in Subaru and M-B

I have used gold GC for about 2500 miles in our 1999 Forester and 2002 M-B C230K. In the Subaru I noticed no change in mpg and maybe a little quieter compared to 5W-30 M1. In the M-B (2.3 liter 4 cyl with supercharger) there was no mpg change compared to M1 0W-40 or LDX 5W-40. However, after 48...

    purchase Pennzoil Platinum

Where is a source of Pennzoil Platinum European 5W30? One local dealer never heard of it and another said he could not order it. I can't even find a web source to buy it. I'm in central Missouri. Thanks
