    Bee debris rant

More of a rant as there is nothing I can do short of buying a car cover x3. Here in the pnw this time of year the bees are doing what bees do, namely collect pollen and then crap on everything in sight. If I leave my truck in the driveway for just 2 days there is a minimum of at least 50 craps...

    2022 Ford Maverick

On a trip to Mexico a couple years ago I was seeing the good old fashioned small pickups on the road. I looked up toyota mx, and nissan. They sell the basic small trucks in that market. I wonder if this might be a signal that there is a market here for those again?

    2022 Ford Maverick

I find this interesting that Ford was impressed with the ridgeline design. 9 out of 10 of these manly man trucks never even see a gravel driveway. God forbid we have lower, easier to drive, urban friendly size family truck. Something that everybody can drive and feel comfortable. These monster...

    First Conceal Carry Handgun?

So if I read the original question, he states that he is not or has not been into handguns, I always recommend a DA revolver to start. Safe, simple, and effective. Also if your wife or girlfriend had to use it she could, again so simple. Ruger lcr in .38. Even glocks require some more thought...

    Motorcycle rear shock rebuild

Just a couple bits, look on ebay, I just took a look and there are several shocks available both new and used. It tends to give you an idea of what's available. Also there is a shop in NJ called EPM Performance. They specialize in M/C shocks. Might have some info there. Cheers.

    Headlights

Have a 2006 Mazda 3, it has been cared for well, but over time the headlight covers were showing their age. Have tried various polishes and even 3000 gr. sandpaper. But the slight yellowing seemed to remain. So tried armor all headlight wipes. They worked pretty well, you can see the yellowing...

Royal enfield interceptor 650 oil choice

I like the new enfields. I would use a 15w-50 or 20w-50. My local auto parts store has the mobil 1 15w-50 on the shelf. I like that weight in air cooled engines. Semi syn or full syn 15w-40 diesel oils should work well also I would think. Speaking of these bikes I really like the new trials...

    2-stroke oils

If anything string trimmers and chain saws run hotter and in bad conditions than a 50cc scooter ever will. Sure $12 a quart amsoil is better than budget super tech, IT BETTER BE. Any name brand oil , synthetic or semi syn, found in any hardware store or auto parts store is just fine. Cheers.

Can you help me chose a good oil for my sport bike?

I used to overthink this just like many, but in recent years I decided to go with what was handy at a fair price. The local auto parts store has Lucas M/C oils on the shelf. The 10w-40 semi-syn is $7.50 a quart and that's plenty expensive for me. And I know it is a good choice for my...

    2-stroke oils

I would use any modern 2 stroke oil from auto parts stores or hardware stores, no problem, don't overthink it. I have run two strokes starting in the early seventies and have seen the advancement of the oil. Back when the only really good choice was blendzal or castrol r vegetable based...

    Is carnauba dead?

So in this ceramic age is anybody buying/using carnauba anymore? I have various forms still but with the ease of the ceramics I wonder what to do with them now. I wonder if the traditional products will die out.

New Rider Eager to hear from long timers.

This thread got me to thinking about the health of our sport. I congratulate you on discovering motorcycling and the bike you chose. I have been reading about the decline of motorcycling in the US, Harley in particular is very hard hit. I'm thinking about where we came from and where it is all...

    Car Wash Soap...

I'm a bucket and mit/brush wash method guy. I have used many different brands and types of soap. What I have found is that the more expensive name brand soaps are more concentrated, less soap in the bucket in other words. I just got a can of No7 powdered wash, if for no other reason nostalgia...

    Meguiars Hybrid Ceramic

Just a quick review of this product, I have used it on three cars now. Weird stuff at first, different to apply. Wash car leave it wet spray product and wipe it around on surface(for first application) rinse off and dry surface. At first I was not that impressed, left some streaks on windows...
