    New filter recommendation

So I used to use CarQuest premium filters in all of my cars because they were Wix filters. But I know a manager at CarQuest and he said that they are no longer going to be made by eix anymore so I am looking for a new filter. My truck now is a 2015 Silverado. Is the Fram Ultra really worth the...

    7,000 miles on Castrol Edge

Just changed the Castrol Edge 0w-20 in my truck with about 7,000 miles on it and replaced it with the same. I rotated the tires and filled them up too, they were all about 4 psi low. After driving on the new oil for a few days, my mpg already went up 1 mpg, which isn't much. But I was just...

I can no longer find Castrol Edge EP in a 0w-20 at my local Walmart. Has anyone been finding it or PUP in the same weight anywhere?

    Is Mobil 1 different?

The truck is a GMC Canyon with the 3.5 I5 engine. I may end up sticking with SynPower after hearing you guys say its good stuff!

    Is Mobil 1 different?

Just recently got a new truck and the PO ran valvoline in it, was thinking about sticking with it or running QSUD. I used to like Mobil 1 a lot, but I've heard recently that it isn't as good as it used to be, due to a change in the formulation? Any truth to this? Also what is the difference...

Is there a such thing as normal oil consumption?

That was my initial thought as well, with the oil filter. But he said he put in the full 6 quarts it calls for. And he said he usually used about a half quart to a quart for a 4000-5000 OCI.

Is there a such thing as normal oil consumption?

I know some manufacturers said that it was normal, but to me that was sort of to cover themselves. Good to know though!

Is there a such thing as normal oil consumption?

So today I was talking to my sisters boyfriend about oil being consumed during an OCI. I have always thought that an engine shouldn't consume any oil if it was running properly? But he seemed to think that the oil breaking down would lead the engine to somehow consume it, not burning oil either...

Good oil for Chevy Trailblazer i6 motor

Hello all, new here but I've browsed the site for a while now and love it! I'm gonna be most likely buying a trailblazer with 150,000 miles on it. What are good oils for the GM inline 6 engine. I'm mainly trying to decide if I should run a high mileage oil like Maxlife or if I should run a...
