    2017 Focus RS / Ford Motorcraft 5w50 / 6,200 miles

Latest UOA below. This oil was run during the winter months here in MA (prob could have gone down to a lighter weight, but had the oil changed at the dealership). Oil filter used was a FL910S. This sample saw a mix of short trips + highway miles, no real hard / track usage on this sample...

is there a way to vote thumbs down to this poster and his/her nonsense?

    2017 Focus RS - Castrol 0W40 - 4,900 miles

Latest UOA. Oil filter used was a Ford Motocraft FL910s. This sample saw 2 auto-x days and some very hot summer temps. Oil replaced with more Castrol Edge 0W40, as it seems to be getting the job done for me, is cheap and easy to find, and is producing good results. I would run a longer OCI but...

    2017 Focus RS - Castrol 0W40 - 4,500 miles

Attached is my latest UOA. Notes around this OCI - Normal commuter miles + 1 auto-x day. Previous Oil was the FF which should be Motorcraft 5w-50 but looks like it sheared down way too much. Refilled with Castrol 0W40 as it seems to be a pretty robust oil and is doing a great job on my car.

    M1 AFE 0W-20 Honda Civic 2009 (~5567 miles)

Ah the good old R18. You could probably run canola oil and that thing would run for miles and miles. Miss my civic, I used to beat the [censored] out of it and it never let me down. Great car.

2017 Focus RS (2.3T), Factory Fill, 2500 miles

Nothing earth shattering here, just thought I'd share results after dumping the factory fill after ~2,500 miles from my Ford Focus RS. Does not look like the factory fill is 5w-50 even though that is what is recommended per the owners manual, which I find interesting.. FF was replaced with...

Some additional notes: - Frequent pulls to redline on this sample - 50 / 50 city / highway miles - OLM was at 30% when this oil was changed - Previous 2 UOAs were with M1 0w30 AFE, 1st UOA was with M1 0w20 AFE - Filled the car back up with Castrol Edge 0w40 (black bottle). Will be interested...

    2010 Genesis Coupe 3.8 V6/ PPPU 5w20/ 11,037 miles

way too much Aluminum and Iron wear IMO esp looking at the universal averages + your previous samples... How hard are you driving this thing? I would cut down your next OCI to 6k miles. Just my opinion though, others will surely disagree.

Ah, another K24 with evidence of excessive shearing on 0w20... Your wear metals look great though, and I would recommend you keep the same OCIs on the AFE oil. What % was your OLM when you changed?

    S2000 - Will 9000 rpm and M1 0W30 AFE be ok?

I think you will find my results particularly helpful. Check my UOAs below with 0w30 M1 AFE on my '15 civic Si. Based on my results, I would advise against it and would recommend a 10w30 or 0w40.. http://www.bobistheoilguy.com/forums/ubb...K24#Post3777358

    Sodium vs Moly?

sodium and moly have different purposes within an oil. Sodium is more for TBN retention while moly is more for lubrication.
