I think the front tire will fling/lift up the nail/screw and then the rear gets it. And there is probably more debris along the shoulder.

I installed KYB quick struts on my 2010 Civic about 2 years ago and they make a creaking noise when turning but only when it's cold out. Like single digits or less. 100% goes away when above freezing. 🤷‍♂️

Will it start with a jump? Towing it would be my last resort. Great way to have your car damaged.

The 8th gen civic starter (2006-11) are different than the 9th gen civic (2012-15).

If you do need a new starter the 2016-2022 Honda HRV uses the same starter. I got a used OEM starter on ebay from a 2021 HRV with only 23k miles for $64. (Replaced a friend's 2012 Civic starter) The starter is definitely a pain to replace. Plan for at least a couple hours. FYI, don't buy new...

Just change the bad one. The others could very well last years and years.

It looks like the half nearest the timing chain is a little darker. Still looks great! The R18A1 is a great engine.
