From Realtor dot com--Is a Housing Correction or Crash Ahead? See Where Home Prices Are Poised To Fall Next

@RhondaHonda , my Wife and I spent the month of May in Rio Rico, AZ. We shopped at the Wal Mart and Home Depot in Nogales. Everyone was super nice in Nogales. No need to lock a car. Law enforcement in Nogales pulled over drivers for traffic infractions. The area was wonderful. In Seattle/...

Another article showing concern in the housing market- yet the author may have lacked critical thinking

Studying the inflationary times of the late 1970s-early 1980s, house prices never flinched, even at 18 percent interest rates for mortgages. Not one year during the high interest rate times of that era did housing prices decline. Look at Illinois, 11 continual years of population decline...

From Realtor dot com--Is a Housing Correction or Crash Ahead? See Where Home Prices Are Poised To Fall Next

Worthy read. I don't concur with the article, but always good to have different viewpoints. What I see with the decline in some home prices is simply houses that are lemons and significantly overpriced, seeing price reductions. We toured the below house. The home originally listed at $585k USD...

What are you eating right now?

Eating outside at White Castle in Goodyear, AZ. Temperature is 112 degrees, but being outside in the shade beats being inside the dining room with air conditioning about 62 degrees. Food is good. Pop machine was out of most drinks, had to go with caffeine free diet coke.

Employment quiz- would you have gotten this sample question correct?

Here is a question asked on an application today. For a Leader, A should be the correct answer. It is assumed that C is part of what a leader does as a implied task. I selected C, but as posted, A is the correct answer: Select the one response that best describes your leadership...

As @Astro14 mentioned, extractors for Mercedes when feasible is the way to go when changing motor oil. I have numerous Mercedes and exclusively use an extractor for removing engine oil. With the top mounted canister oil filter, one doesn't even need to get under the vehicle. My extractor...

How to put a price on the value of a assumable low rate mortgage?

Nobody can guess future interest rates. With the significant rise in US debt and deficit, wonder how likely rates will be able to return to historical lows that we saw three years ago?

How to put a price on the value of a assumable low rate mortgage?

Thanks SCM. Does the calculator also include the potential benefits of a lower payment, and redeploying that saved capital into other investments? Fictional example: 2.25 percent monthly payment of $2500 7.5 percent monthly payment of $5000 After five years, the payment difference is $150k...

That's a good point. Should also add that if I assume the loan, I can also sell the property with the assumable loan.
