What are some issues with adding more tablets than what is recommended?

I used 3 of the pelets, the leak has slowed quite a bit, but still leaks, maybe add another 2 pellets?

I bought the pellets from GM, what is recommended for the 2.24cyl? The package has 6 pellets.

The GM coolant sealer pellets are they safe or will it plug the heater core? I'm trying to hold off a repair on a minor coolant leak from the head gasket on a '95 GM 2.2ohv.

Just curious as how the Lucas Transmission Fix can renew worn bands?!?! Is it possible using their additive?

What kind of trans problems were you having that you needed to put the Lucas additive in?

I used Wynns Trans stop leak for a minor leak in my Dodge 3spd auto trans, 4 days later the tranny wouldn't upshift anymore!!! Now I think I have other problems!

Which would be better Lucas or the Slick 50 additive, they both cost the same.

On the dipstick it does say Dexron II for fluid type. So the Lucas stuff may actually make things worse for the tranny?

I've adjusted the front band, but the rear band is internal, the tranny shop says the bands are not the problem, although they didn't even want to adjust them. Rebuild or replace seems to be the mantra for the trans shops here!

The car is a 1988 Chrysler Lebaron turbo, 3 sp auto, 173000KMs. Fluid type is whatever the tranny shop would have put it, I would assume they put in the correct fluid... Just bought the car couple of weeks ago, and the trans seemed ok at the time, but after driving for a week the problems...

Just had the trans serviced with a new govener, filter, valve body cleaned, and fluid flush, but I still have the shifting problem when cold. 1st trans shop said I would need a rebuild if the service didn't work...cost me $365 for the service. The 2nd shop says that the seals, torque converter...

Here in Calgary, Canada we don't have pepboys or autozone, but I'll try and look for that lube guard. The thickness of the lucas is only when it is in the bottle, but shouldn't it mix with the tranny fluid and become thinner?

So what is aprox the ratio of good vs bad experiences with Lucas Trans Fix? I'm thinking about putting some in my Chyrsler 3sp auto trans for a delayed shift problem when cold. Still a good idea?
