Used amsoil SVG 75w90 which was in service for 6 years. Last month I put in amsoil SVG 75W140.

I've used maxlife atf, but I prefer amsoil signature series atf. I've put ~50k miles on the amsoil SS atf and no issues so far.

How are the shims on the raybestos EHT after a few winters? I find the akebono shims don't last long up here in the rust belt and I still have plenty of pad life left.

I'd avoid dealerships around bases period and the used car market in those areas too. If you want to help her then have her use some leave to visit you to check whats available in your area.

installed raybestos specialty rotor on my rav4 for the front. Got them from rock as well. I was debating between the same two rotors you listed too. They've been in for a month and no issues. I did the bed in procedure even though raybestos says they're premium coated rotors don't require this...

running amsoil atf in my 2012 rav4 for 60k miles. Nothing bad has happened. I also use their gear oil in my rear dif and transfer case. I've used maxlife atf also in the same toyota with no issues.

if the highlander has a transmission filter get that changed. Then worry about what ATF you will run in it. I've used maxlife, maxlife with lubeguard red, and now amsoil. No issues.

I'll say the transfer case did produce a lot of material initially and less after the drain and fills. Still got a ways to go before I drain and refill with SVG. I'll definitely post up anything pertinent at that time.

Just wanted to add and support clarification on the 2GRFE which is this engines transmission in my vehicle has a filter. So the general blanket statements about the screen is incorrect.

So whats the consensus on this? Right now I have Amsoil SVG 75w90 in my Rav4 transfer for 20k. Transfer and rear have been through 3 drain and fills prior to the SVG fill and all is well at the moment.

Do you have special circumstances? Call it a day and get a 10lb ABC rated extinguisher from wally world. One for the kitchen and garage. Do you have an upstairs? One up there in a good location too.

Freesole - This stuff is pretty heavy duty. Temp range is -20F +200F and dries over night.
