2014 Ram Limited Slip rear fluid?

Yeah I see what you are saying. I did own a 2005 Dakota V8, that rear definitely had to have the extra additive, every 20k miles I had to change it as it chewed threw the additive and began to grab, shudder. Most 140 oils I have seen already has some LS additive in it, I just wasn't sure if it...

2014 Ram Limited Slip rear fluid?

It says its for the 1500 series limited slip but says the 2500/3500 doesn't require it. Makes a lot of sense doesn't it lol

2014 Ram Limited Slip rear fluid?

Guys, I'd like some input here. Most if not all 75w-140's have limited slip additive in them if I am not mistaken, some more than others. So my question is, why does Dodge still recommend to add their limited slip additive to the oil? BTW just changed mine yesterday using Valvoline Synpower...

    Valvoline SYnpower 5w-20 vs Mobil 1 5w-20

Not saying anything bad about your experience or what you should do etc but I have often read that you need to do a few oil changes on one grade/brand before passing judgement about oil useage, fuel mileage etc

    2017 Grand Cherokee 3.6 Pentastar

Hope it doesn't happen on our Durango...so far it has been problem free in 16,000 miles and 13 months old. I hope it doesn't happen to me either on my 2016 Wrangler. Given a choice though I'd rather have the oil pressure sensor go than have the left cylinder head go bad. Hopefully both those...

    2017 Grand Cherokee 3.6 Pentastar

Happened on my '14 Charger. Mind you, that was a 6.4L and it is right on the front of the engine. If I am not mistaken, its the same part number on the 3.6, 5.7, and 6.4........I did a bit of research on it when mine failed to see if it was common.

SynPower 0w-20 for potential 10K mile OCI

My advice: You are using a good oil, so do what makes you feel comfortable. If you want to change it early, do it, if you want to stretch it out to the OLM, do that instead. At the end of the day its whatever makes you feel better, in all honesty. I still try to tell my father that he doesn't...

OEM, I've used fram, wix, and OEM. Fram actually held pleats better than wix, go figure. K&N makes one as well, but you about have to order them online.

    2017 Grand Cherokee 3.6 Pentastar

Here is my 2 cents since I have this engine (the maxed out version) in my '14 Ram. Great engine BTW, good combo or towing, power and gas mileage. Ok, my filler cap and manual says 5w-20, but if you download the "full" manual, there is a loop hole that allows 5w30 if 5w20 is not available. It...
