    04 Volvo S60 2.4 | 4,810 miles on Pennzoil Platinum

I did list that where it asks what additives were used. I don't think I've ever seen it listed back on any UOA I've done.

I use a Mann filter. Mahle is OEM. But the Mann has more pleats so I spend a little more on it.

    04 Volvo S60 2.4 | 4,810 miles on Pennzoil Platinum

I've always been a little curious to see what wear metals look like on my old daily driver after ~5000 miles on an oil change. Not bad. Not bad. I'm really liking my wear numbers on all of my cars with the Pennzoil. I used to be a staunch Mobil1 only user.

    2008 Volvo XC90 3.2 - 7,018 miles on oil - Mobil1 5w30 HM

It wasn't intended to be scientific. But it does prove something, it proves that Pennzoil isn't as bad of an oil as he claims. If it were a terrible oil, there would be something clearly off in an oil analysis.

Can't be too old. It's from last year. Bought it at WalMart.

I have a bet with a guy at work that Pennzoil Platinum will have lower wear metals than Mobil1. I'm doing this test on two cars. This is also my first UOA on this vehicle. When I took this sample, I was changing the oil and I am now using Pennzoil Platinum high mileage 5w30 for consistency. Both...

    2010 Lexus IS F - Total Syn. 5w30 - ~4000 Miles

I purchased this vehicle earlier this year. I don't know the exact type of oil used at the dealership I purchased it from, but the best they could tell me was it is Total brand full synthetic 5w30. I don't know the exact miles on the oil but I did put almost exactly 4000 miles on the oil before...

    2010 Lexus IS-F. It’s so clean!

I recently picked up an IS-F for a fun car and one of the big selling points for me was how immaculate the engine was inside at 80K miles. The vehicle was always dealer serviced (I have the records) and it is noted on each ticket that the customer supplied Mobil1 5w30 every time. This is what I...

    AutoRX seems to have worked.

That is actually from their neighbor. Not that it makes it any better. The PCV system is clear. Only the drain back for the separated oil clogs. I cleaned that out when I pad the pan off.

    AutoRX seems to have worked.

I definitely think I'm going to after I get done with the rinse. And this time I'm definitely going to check the filter at 1500 miles because I'm a little freaked out now. Haha Does Seafoam in the oil work? I've done the vacuum line thing for cleaning piston tips on seriously crusty piston tops...

Old AutoRX? This was the "Plus" purchased direct from their webpage. Or are you recommending I buy the old stuff instead?
