Iridium or Ruthenium plug to replace a copper plug in performance LS

Same, no issues with them in our 8th gen accord. I do find the information on them confusing however, I tried them because new why not but a lot of what I read varied, and almost seemed to contradict itself. Some say they run hotter, some say they run colder and build up deposits, some say...

How far would you drive on a gamble for a used car?

Something is telling me this is a 2008 manual Accord. I know the 8th gen had an somewhat uncommon wagon, but not sure if it came with a manual or not.

    MSI Core Liquid 360r cooler

I have a revision 1.0 Liquid Freezer 2 AIO, been very reliable don't know the exact age but AIO's suffer from permeation so I'm not sure how much fluid is left in it. 5 year warranty on an AIO is fantastic, as they realistically will not have much longer of a life than that unless they have a...

    Call for help

Don't fault you in the slightest, many of us have witnessed the phrase no good deed goes unpunished in action. I know this elderly couple from church, known them for a long time but nothing more than hey, hello, just neighbor talk more than anything. Well the husband passed away a few years...

Not super familiar with most of the reply functions these days, however you make a good point my bad. Ironman iMove gen 2 where on the Camry

    Kumho KU27 or Nexen N5000? 195/65R15

Have these on the wife's 2020 Camry, wasn't impressed noticeable tread wear in the first 10k miles I don't think we got more than 2-3 years at most out of them. Overall I was very disappointed in them but we paid $550 for the wife's set since she had low profile rims, these where the cheapest...

    Rislone Engine Treatment Labeling Change

Assuming nothing was wrong with the vehicle (like serious sludge) I wouldn't see why not, while I've never personally done so many on this forum have with no ill effect. However if the vehicle does suffer from significant sludge there is the risk it could clog the oil pickup screen however this...

    Rislone Engine Treatment Labeling Change

Not saying it can't clean, honestly I've used the product many times I like the product but to the best of my knowledge this product contains no solvents. Its primarily cleaning is due to ester, which can't/shouldn't be able to clean to any noticeable degree in only 100 miles. I've always...

Same issue as well, been like this for a bit on my end both mobile, and desktop.

    Sticky exhaust valves

This is somewhat common with junkyard motors which have sat for awhile, I wouldn't be too concerned ATM. Spin the crank until it about as sealed as it will get, spray some cleaner down the exhaust port and try clean it with a little brush. If you are able too it wouldn't be a bad idea to...

Oil dipstick on my dirty engine Hemi charger after 500 miles of Valvoline Restore and Protect

Would argue otherwise, it can suggest oxidation/fuel dilution but doesn't mean clean/dirty. I too ran EC for 4500 total miles (at 25%) with Mobil EP over 2 filters in a 09 Accord with 200k miles. Vehicle was new to me but maintenance records showed 8k-10k OCI its full life with budget quick...

I need the best penetrating oil

I like Seafoam Deep Creep, can't say its the best I've not used everything but I am satisfied with it's performance. When given any chance to do so I will spray parts, and give them as long to sit as possible. When working on my own vehicles and knowing I'll need to work on it within the week I...

    Cutting a Filter Open

Thank you for that! It was getting to the point where I thought I would need to buy a can opener to take the blade off one of them.

    Cutting a Filter Open

I would recommend paying the few* bucks extra to get one with a few extra blades, I can't seem to find the replacement blades anywhere. Maybe I'm using the wrong keywords* but I've not come back with anything so to me at least it seems like once the blade is too worn the cutter is basically junk.

    Rislone Engine Treatment Labeling Change

11% was for the full quart sized bottle, the half quart is suppose to be more concentrated. While the half quart hasn't been tested, and we can't say definitively the one who tested the full quart sized bottle predicted the half quart would be roughly 2x's stronger to make up for the size...

RockAuto slipping up on inventory control?

I've had them send me worn out brake pads before with "return" written on them in red sharpie. Took me all of 3 seconds to notice it, check the box, and see someone's old brake pads in it. I was a little annoyed, I have to imagine more than a few steps where skipped for this to happen. If they...
