    2010 ish Honda vehicle

I also have an '06 Civic with tons of miles just using the Prestone universal, and have had several Honda's prior using the same. Honda's (At least like pre-2015ish) really aren't picky about fluids.

21 escape ready to drive off cliff!

I'm guessing the shop didn't flush the cooler/lines from the original failure. Likely debris in there damaging the new unit.

Is this '55 chevy 210 worth anything over scrap value ?

I have a drive-in theater near my house, That thing would be a hoot to take there. Looks to be in amazing shape compared to 90% of them I see for sale

Manual Transmission Sales Are Up Again This Year

I know we're kinda getting off topic here, but I can't imagine why people are moving out older - my first apartment was a bit less than $300/mo in the mid 2000's, that same exact unit now with minimal renovations (my current work is near it) is over $2000/mo now. Also sidenote - I'm a...

    Low-Mileage GM 3100 in 2023?

I'd mayyyyybe go $7k on it, will likely be the most reliable vehicle you could have for the foreseeable future. I had an '03 Century, thing was bulletproof albeit pretty boring. It only met it's demise when I loaned it out to my cousin and he rear-ended a pickup, otherwise I'm sure it would...

    Anyone else considering hoarding manuals?

The only vehicle I regret selling was my manual Geo Metro, that little 50hp or so engine was a blast to row through the gears. Everything else I've driven though, meh give me the auto.

Volkswagen Beetle. A classic car on a budget?

Even just a decade ago most Beetles were a dime a dozen, the past 5-6 years or so they've kinda skyrocketed. 2008ish we bought one for $200 to beat around my friends property, floor pans were gone but wish I kept it now lol

What are the worst tires you've used?

Another vote on the Goodyear Eagles... I put a set on my 2012 Mazda 5 years ago, they weren't terrible but pretty "meh" in all conditions.

    Your Carwash Place; how much?

A lot of apartment complexes / HOA's / etc don't allow even washing a car unfortunately. I only use the carwash at my dealership because it's free lol

Skid plate charge: $6 at Pronto

Regardless $52 for an oil change is nearly half what most places near me are charging, so I wouldn't squabble over it.

How reliable is the 3.0L V6 vs the 2.2L 4 cylinders in the 1997-2001 Camrys?

Yikes at that price tag! I had the same car with the V6, thing was a rocket but loved to go thru rear struts for whatever reason.

Fresh tires on the front or rear?

Lol at all the fussing over this, op said he's in Arizona, it won't really make much of a lick of difference where the tires are placed. The shop will likely only put them on the rear though as sop.

How long do you think this quart of oil has been on the shelf?

I don't think they're very old at all honestly - Coastal Farm and Ranch (Country store chain near me) sells Warren SAE30 as their store brand oil and the bottles look the same

Why is rotella hated by some?

Especially when it comes to oil and filters, for whatever reason, people get some weird opinions on it without any real merit or actual data. It's fine oil.

    5w-30 for new Honda 3.5L v6

I don't really see a need to, considering a J35 made almost a million miles on whatever cheap 5w-20 until a valve chipped, which isn't an oil issue anyway.

CV Axle Nut - Torque with wheel on ground or in air ?

I also had a 93 Ciera! Miss that car. I've only ever installed axle nuts with a few "ugga duggas" and never experienced any issues, and I keep my cars til they're ready for the scrap heap. But yes If you want to loosen and retorque it's fine either way in the air or ground.

1996 Accord 2.2 Cooling Fan (right side) Dead

Same thing happened on my 2003 Civic, one of the fans wouldn't kick. Normally I advise proper diagnostics, but when an aftermarket fan is $20 - $30 and a few minutes to change, I just shotgunned it and all was good again.

Best source for single cheap tire

I would get the $62 Nexen, I wouldn't go used on something that's likely to get a lot more age before you need to use it

Anyone think Ford is going away?

I'm pretty sure Ford still exists because the older generations think they're the most 'Murican company and have to buy 'Murican. I know I'll get heat, but these past couple generation F-150's are garbage, my dealership wholesales most that are taken on trade because they always need timing...

    The demise of AM radio

Pretty sure here in western WA all the AM sports stations now have an FM counterpart, sans a few oddities.... (this thread got me to switch to AM for the first time in half a decade, most of what I found is conservative talk radio, a folklore station?? and a very monotone gospel speech)
