    Fake Mobil1 oil

I don't think comparing the oils viscosity or the speed they pour will tell me anything about the originality. The fakes are so "sophisticated" that they easily imitate the originals. I am mostly concerned about the ingredients. Here are two videos of these guys comparing the real oil with the...

    Fake Mobil1 oil

Hello. I live in Europe and for the last 4+ years I have used Mobil 1 ESP 5w30 synthetic oil. Never had any issues or bad experience with it. However, the question of its genuineness has always been in my thoughts. I have watched couple of videos on youtube (mostly in Russian), claiming they...

Hesitate between two Mobil1 synthetic oils

Thank you everyone for helping with your feedback and opinion. I have already made up my mind - I'll stick to the ESP 5w30. My main concern was (and still is) the hot Greek summer and the engine protection. 0w40 could give me better protection but the difference with the ESP seems insignificant.

Hesitate between two Mobil1 synthetic oils

edyvw, thanks for your prompt response. I forgot to say the car has 75,000 km on the odometer if that matters. So far I have used the 5w30 ESP without any issues. However, my main concern is the very hot weather in summer with ambient temperatures exceeding 40C (104F). I DO know outside...

Hey, folks. Honda Accord (known as Acura TSX in the U.S.) owner here. 2.0 l gasoline engine. Living and driving in Greece. Still hesitate between two Mobil1 oils. 5w30 ESP OR 0w40. Here are the specs: Mobil 1 ESP Formula 5W-30 specs: SAE Grade 5W-30 Viscosity, cSt (ASTM D445) @ 40ºC 72.8 @...

    Appropriate oil for gasoline engine

Hi, folks. Have been using Mobil 1 ESP 5w30 for years in my gasoline Honda Accord and have no issues so far. However, since it is C2/C3 ACEA and I see it is mostly recommended for diesel engines is it a better idea to switch to A3, A4 ACEA oil which is recommended for gasoline engines? And...

Recommend me a good European oil for my Honda

Ok, folks! You win! 5w20 is the best for Honda in all climate zones. Since it's quite rare here in EU, I'll still stick to M1 5w30. ESP 5w30 or Economy 0w30? Which one? Either one works just fine? http://www.mobil1.de/welches-synthetische-motorenoel/motorenol-fur-honda.aspx Thanks.

Recommend me a good European oil for my Honda

Folks, I reside in Europe and drive 2009 Honda Accord (aka Acura TSX in the U.S.) A little about the car: it's 2.0l, gasoline engine (Honda R20A3 engine), 156 hp. So far I have used Mobil 1 ESP 5w30 fully synthetic oil. No issues with it. My car seem to "like" it. On the label it says "for...

I put the ESP, now I'll see how the engine goes. Still, I am a little concerned, perhaps for not choosing the best oil for a gasoline engine (I've heard about catalyst converter issues using ESP), but lets hope my Accord will like it. Will inform you how it goes with it.

Comparing two Mobil1 5w30 synthetic oils.

Thank you guys for your detailed answers. Last question: Since I've already bought the M1 ESP 5w30 oil (though I haven't put it on the engine yet), should I return it for 0w30 or this one time I could go with the ESP?
