I'd actually worry (maybe even a lot) about 3 quarts sump. This is just not enough for poor overworked underpowered engine. JMHO, of course.

Try my 9.3 quarts sump. Ouch... 4.0L engine, 8 pots plus oil cooler. W8 for you.
