What about Royal Purple's Max Gear 75w-90, it is GL-4 and GL-5 rated? I've been using this in my 91 3000GT VR4(Rear diff/transfer case/transaxle). Seems to be pretty good stuff!

Go with the Motorcraft and take the money you'll save from the Mobil 1 and buy a good filter.

I've got a 95 Mustang with 139,000 miles, I've run 125,000 miles with 10w-30 Durablend Valvoline and the last 14,000 miles on German Castrol. If I was you, I would stay with the 10w-30 dino/blend oil API SM any brand. My Mustang loves the GC in the Summers though!

If you don't go with the MC, you haven't done your research. Keep it simple and research the UOA of MC vs. M1 for you type of use,

1991 Mitsubishi VR-4 (3.0 Twin Turbo), runs smooth 1995 Mustang GT (5.0 H.O.), I like it better in the summer than the winter 2001 Nissan Sentra SE(2.0), pretty smooth in this car too.

It is ok in the winter but works wonders in the summer!

I'm running Max Gear (I believe you have the name wrong) in the differential/transfer case/rear end in a 1991 3000GT Vr-4. Made a world of difference, I'm really impressed with the results.
