    5w30 vs 10w30

Once (1997) in a trip from LA (USA) to SP (BRAZIL) I bought a BUNCH of cheap monograde sae 40 (straight 40) in Mexico (Nogales) for my former GM Veraneio with a Turbo Diesel Perkins and, when at or below 36F (winter), the engine clacked for about one block or 2 (half mile at most) and did no...

High mileage oils vs high mileage oils

I personally never used HM oils in my cars. they're old and the subie is 125k now and the taurus is 80k. The kawa is 39k. Aren't they middle mileage yet? Sure the seals are old but not leaking at all, neither the sump gasket, they're all original from factory. Got a lot of heat cycles though.

Yes, I got as personal attacks, when someone say that my statments are stupid or that I throw Darts, before their huge cabedal of knowledge. Nobody knew about the Brownian Movement before I did bring it up to this thread, that's what I know. Going to wikipedia to get Einstenian theories about...

    Purolator PL14459 1994 Integra B18B1 with 5k TORN!

According to experts in Japan. a bigger can is a headache. Smaller elements keep the oil pressure flat. Race cars use aluminum bands also to keep pressure stable and reiforce the can. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s4dF4cFHl6Y

Maybe the mixture is too lean. That also make white deposits.

There is also a "quantic" theory about quick molecules/atoms hitting the particles and inducing the brownian moviment ... as the other part causes. I personally prefer electric charges, temperature differential, vortex of turbulence and vibration to explain the phenomena of molecule/particle...

    Small Particle MoS2 Settling Time

The Brownian Effect is the result of reiterated and repetitive small particle moviments inside a fluid (gas or liquid) in a vessel or even at engine sump. As the particle keep moving fora long period of time and makes the settling harder taking more time to bottom up. MoS2, graphite and other...

From 25k on easy (with bypass filter), to 15k on severe (with bypass filter), to 11k on average ... A lot of oils can run 11k w/o that price tag.

    Additive depletion video

Didn't I say that the detergent goes down with particle settling? Jim confirmed that thinking... So the "Mobil_2" isn't that of a good idea for the purpose of keeping clean engines, anyway. You gotta live with all that debries floating around.

I'd give a little more time to get the oil stabilization process in your unit. Could be just dislodged dirt that make'em loud.
