Lot owner being sued for someone building a home in the lot owner's parcel

It’s the Woman’s fault for buying the property in the first place! If Werner trucking can be sued for getting hit head on by an out of control driver crossing the centerline, then this is inline with the new “Liability” line of thought:)

What one oil would you pick if only one could be had?

AMOCO Ultimate Synthetic 20W-50. Good stuff! You could use it in almost everything. Cars,Trucks,Motorcycles, etc. Especially Motorcycles. It didn’t have the “WET” clutch issues other synthetics had at time. It was only available here in Texas at Target stores. At least that was only place I...

Francis Scott Key Bridge (Baltimore) hit by Cargo Ship and Collapsed

Be careful. My post about this entirely Hyundai built ship was deleted. I guess it is still OK to hammer Boeing, Chrysler, Ford, etc. all the time though.

Repairing the hole in the engine block with iron blocks by a Pakistani craftsman

I thought this was a standard "common" repair for Hyundai engines?

25K GM fuel pump humming. Is it failing?

On the "GM" vehicles I've owned particularly pickups, they have always made a "whirring" noise when in operation. The original GM pumps went well over 200,000 plus before they quit. Now the aftermarket ones that I have bought that's a different story. They can be hit or miss in longevity sometimes.

Cheapest and the best way to repair exhaust leak

Here are some exhaust “repairs” using mild steel sheet metal and sheet metal screws from Home Depot. Make sure you use High Temperature sealant if you try this repair route.

    Ford invents another tailgate variation.

Why can't they bring pick up trucks back down to reasonable ride heights or design them like this?

Post milestone or just plain fun odometer pics!

1999 Mazda Protege ES and 2007 GMC Canyon SLE. After taking these photos, a through interior cleaning is in order!

Alaska Airlines AS1282 door blow out!

The lower hinges-spring mechanism could have been completely missing and the door would probably never open even under pressurization. Any problems with the two upper fittings and bolts and the door is going bye-bye! This design is really not a “plug” door.

Alaska Airlines AS1282 door blow out!

If these TWO safety bolts were missing, the door would have been able to slide up off the stops and blow out.

When Worlds Collide. I always liked the spaceship with a single fuel gauge:)

Strange noise on front wheel when braking at low speed . My mechanic found it .

I owned a 1987 Mazda B2000 that had TWO "alignment" screws on the rear brake drums. This one shop I took it to for new tires did a "FREE" brake inspection and didn't reinstall those screws. My rear brakes started "clanking" making all sorts of noises. Only reinstalling those screws made the...

Low Oil Pressure light came on in a 1994 Honda Accord

Maybe wrong oil viscosity was put in? I once accidently put 4 Quarts of FRAM 5W-20 instead of FRAM 5W-30 into my GMC Canyon during an oil change. When the weather got hot, I started getting a Low Oil Pressure warning at idle. Somehow by changing the oil filter(different brand) it stopped. I...

Difficult shifting and finding neutral. Oil (or other) recommendations?

I own an 2014 EBR 1190RX that has that same ROTAX engine. These engines have a common sump for engine oil and the transmission. They are not like Harley! My EBR developed a notchy shifting condition because the slave cylinder was leaking. This bike also had the heaviest clutch lever pull of any...

Swap engine/engine rebuild vs. just fix the oil leak

How about retorquing the head bolts to see if the oil leak stops?

Junk entire car over Scratched Battery ?

I don’t consider a battery pack as part of the “power train”. It is just an electric fuel tank. You still have to have an electric motor(s) “fueled” by the battery to make it go!

Junk entire car over Scratched Battery ?

There are still a lot of people out there who will refuse to pay for a $20,000 battery period! $20,000 will buy you a lot of gasoline or alcohol and other fuels.

Junk entire car over Scratched Battery ?

The only way these EV’s will ever be truly competitive with ICE vehicles will be standardized battery cells. Can’t they make something like a”D”or “C” cell EV battery? You could have battery exchange stations on the highway. No need to wait for charging. Just exchange cells and go!

    GM 3.7 engine reliability

I owned a 1995 Tacoma. Head gasket blew at 55,000 miles on L/H cylinder bank. Apparently a common problem on 3.4L Toyotas. Transmission Input bearing failed at 96,000 miles. That one really surprised me. Sold it at 142,000 miles and bought a 2007 Tundra 5.7L. Exhaust camshaft on R/H bank snapped...

    GM 3.7 engine reliability

I have 262,000 miles on my 2007 GMC Canyon 3.7 liter 5 cylinder. Other than replacing a leaking valve cover gasket at 200,000, it has been bullet proof.
