Is my MT bearing failure oil-related ?

Thank you everyone. Thankfully, mine is a 4 banger, so my tranny is not the one in the bulletin. Truck goes in for repairs next week. I will let the forum know if a year with Motul Gear 300 hurt the brass parts if anyone is interested. I will being going with Redline MT90 or Amsoil this time...

Is my MT bearing failure oil-related ?

Symptom- whining noise in every gear except 4th (and maybe reverse). Prior to Motul, which was my decision, I believe my mechanic used and standard GL-4 (unsure if it was syn or non-syn). He used Lucas additive, I think, because I told him that I would like to clear up the cold shifting issues...

Is my MT bearing failure oil-related ?

One year with Motul Gear 300 in my MT (1993 Nissan D21 Hardbody). I switched because cold weather shifting was pretty miserable. A year and ~20,000 miles later, I have a noisy bearing. Shifting great, but a noisy bearing. I will be having the necessary repairs made soon and need to decide what...

What do you think ? I have always used synthetic oil, just not this caliber of filter. Up until now Nissan OEM, K&N...

    Motul 8100 Eco-nergy 5W30

Getting ready to try this instead of my recent routine of Castrol Syntec Edge Titanium with Lucas Pure Synthetic Stabilizer to cross the 300,000 mile mark on my good, old Nissan truck. Interested to see if there is any consumption difference. I got it from Amazon. $42 delivered if I remember right

    O'Reilly Branded Full Synthetic ?

Sorry. 22.99 with Bosch filter, not Microguard(Wix).

    O'Reilly Branded Full Synthetic ?

Those are the options. 22.99 for OR oil and a Microguard (Wix) filter seemed like good deal. On second thought, the other two with $15 rebates possibly even better. Have used Edge. Never tried Pennzoil.

    O'Reilly Branded Full Synthetic ?

Anyone have an opinion on this or know who makes it for O'Reilly ? Seems to be a good price for a full synthetic, especially when part of one of their oil change specials. Thanks.
