I'm not 100% certain the ear plug came out of the drain hole or the filter. I was surprised to see it there when I was about to pour the used oil into a recycle container. BTW, Shouldn't there a anti-drain back gasket on the filter since it is installed vertically to the bottom of the engine?

2006 Lexus RX330 currently at 80K miles. Last drain/fill at 50K miles. Out: 8 qts of purple-brownish Toyota Type-IV. In: 8 qts Maxlife red jug from Autozone for ~$23. Smooth shifting before and after except the fluid is now clean cherry red.

It's little over 3,800 miles. I usually change oil every 5K so its easy to remember. Sorry for the poor quality pictures. I took them soon after it was off the car. The filter has dried off and I can clearly see 4 tears total, two on each side.
