What is the best way to condition car seals

Hey Folks, Thanks for all the replies. I will stick with regular oil changes for now. @BearZdefect, I'm going to have a good look at where the leak is coming from, and that will be the first place I'm going to look. @skate1968 I've heard alot of problems with those grommets, but I good up there...

What is the best way to condition car seals

Hi Ya Folks, It's been a long year of running an ARX treatment on my 94 Honda accord. After two treatments and following the instructions to the letter, I'm now into my third oil change after the last rinse phase, and I still have a small oil leak that developed during the ARX treatment. So what...

    Green GC M04 0w30, 7550miles 2002 Ford Focus Wagon

Hey guys, Thanks for the feedback. @Al, The coolant is the stock coolant from Ford, as it's still the orginal solution. I haven't had to add any for the life of the car. And I think it's due for a flush this year ( 5yr/100k kms) @SSDude, you are bang on about the driving style. It's the kids...

Tire storage...can I do it myself??

Thanks folks, So it looks like it not a big deal. I always thought storing tires was the hardest thing to do right. So what should I do? Vertical, horizontal, in plastic bags, not in plastic bags, inflated, deflated, basement (warm), garage (freezing/hot) All advice is appreciated. Many thanks...

Tire storage...can I do it myself??

Hi Folks, Just got my summer tires put back on my Ford Focus Wagon, and the prices went up for storage and installation. I have the summer and winter tires on separate rims, and it costed me $60 CDN for the change over ($7.00 for installation, and $7.00 for storage / tire then the taxes of...

Quick ?? on long oil change with GC..

Hey vad, My focus has the 2.0L SPI engine. Now, I'm not worried about the oil yet, but I was just wondering from all those guys that posted in the other topic with long 10,000+ oil changes, if they left thier oil filter on that long? Or did they change it half way? And if they changed out the...

Quick ?? on long oil change with GC..

Nice earlier topic with people posting 7->12,000 mile oil changes with GC. And my question is; do you keep the same oil filter on for the interval? How long should oil filters run for before changing? And how do you just change the oil filter? Do you drain the oil into a clean can, then remove...

    Okay they said this....

quote: So did you ask the mechanic how stupid someone has to be to not be able to read a complete license plate number that is sitting right on the back of a car to do the right work to it? I was almost going to go there when I was getting ripped when he was going on about the yellow label but...

I have a 2002 Ford Focus 4cyln (81000kms)wagon, that I just put GC in about a month ago after an autorx treatment. ( barely 1000kms on it ) Didn't notice anything good or bad with GC in the car as the wife has been driving the car more than I have lately. Anyways I had to bring in the Focus to...

    Okay guys I'm almost ready...

The rinse phase of the ARX treatment on my Ford Focus Wagon (78000kms) 4 cyln is almost complete. Had no oil leaks or anything unusual show up except for very dark oil. So I'm hoping since everything went well, I'm done with the ARX treatment. Now for the great part. I'd love to put synthetic...

Is it overkill to use additive on premium gas

So wait a second. My 94 Honda reccomends 92 octane, and I just started (3rd fillup) using 94 octane as it's only 1.5 cents more expensive. I've noticed it takes a couple of extra turns to start the car in the morning. Should I go back to 92, or even back to 87. I'm thinking of buying FP60 too...
