I went to Walmart and got the EP 0W20 for my wife's car. My next change is for my daughter's Maxima.

Will the EP get less gas mileage than the regular?

I believe Walmart has them in the 5q jug for the same 25.17 price point. If the EP is better, then I plan to go there....

The Acura has this percentage oil sensor and we change he oil at 20%. Will the extended last longer or be any better for the engine?

The car runs on 93 octane gas.

I did the oil change today using Mobil 1 0W40. Did the Italian Tune up yesterday and the car is running perfectly. Very quiet at idle and not a single ping or anything else. Just the light purr of the engine. Thanks to everyone for the advice and could not be happier!

Does anyone go beyond 1 year on a synthetic oil change? For one of my cars, I am putting very low miles (less than 5k miles in a year) on it.

I did a search and get the Italian tune-up. Yes, I do give it one of those every once in a while. Sounds like Mobil 1 0W40 is the way to go for the Porsche. Afraid to try anything else at this point. Plan to try the Royal Purple and Castrol Edge in other cars and see what happens.

My tech replied that they have been putting Mobil 1 0W40 in my car all of these years.

I take my car to a Porsche specialized shop. Whether it's this place or the dealer, the cost is over $200. Frankly, I have yet to do it myself but it does not look any harder than changing the oil in my Lexus. My guess is that happens to be the going rate and I did it for several years without...

The car takes 10 quarts and I bought 12 filters online for my 4 cars. My Lexus LS460 also takes 10 but not nearly as expensive (when you pay to have it done) to change as the Porsche.

I have not but read that some oils help the car purrrr...... Since Mobil 1 has been in the car, wondering if another will help with this or not. As I have read, Royal Purple apparently helped but I am reluctant to try it.
