Thoughts on the Silverado 2.7 turbo engine

Not true on the premium part. Maybe better to use 91 if you're doing serious towing, but otherwise, 87 is fine for daily driving. Is your truck fleet the Colorado work truck? That's a really detuned version of the engine.

Thoughts on the Silverado 2.7 turbo engine

2.7 Turbomax is built like a diesel. I love it, but I have it in a Colorado. What's the weight of your boat and trailer?

When to replace an "old" car....

I don't want to spend your money or presume to know your finances or budget...but it's a major buyer's market right now for Ford Bronco Sports. If you look on cars dot com, there are literally thousands of new 2025 new Bronco Sports across the country, and a bunch can be had under $30k, marked...

Just got told I dont charge enough.

People need 2 things in this world: a good GP physician and a good mechanic. You're doing yeoman's work...hold your head up high.

When to replace an "old" car....

If you can do the things you mentioned that need doing, I'd do it and roll with it. It's a car you know...buying someone else's $10k set of problems isn't going to help you. And not being a smart-aleck, make sure that AC is good to go for her. Florida is tough in summer, obviously.

Has there ever been a mainstream vehicle that holds its value as well as a 5th Gen 4Runner?

Oh, I agree...and I loved my 5th gen. I just needed a little extra towing oomph back int the day and went to a pickup truck. If it wasn't for fluid changes, you could have welded the hood shut.

Has there ever been a mainstream vehicle that holds its value as well as a 5th Gen 4Runner?

I would suggest the 4.0L dual VVT-i is the most reliable production engine ever made. Doesn't burn oil, runs flawlessly (although it's notoriously slow), and The Car Care Nut has never seen the inside of one...and it was in production for like15 years. If it isn't broken...

    Terminator Two - Judgement Day

Now I agree with that. But I know a lot of people dig it for the non stop insanity of action, while the first one is way slower paced.

    Terminator Two - Judgement Day

With the utmost respect, no, no way, and never, in that order. The first Terminator movie is light years ahead of the second one. The second one isn't bad by any means, but it can't touch the first one. Now if you want to argue Aliens over Alien, another James Cameron work, I'll listen (but I...

Worst Rock Song of All Time

Really? Not trying to start a fight but this is surprising to me. Now, if you didn't like the 80s transition that brought more commercial success right before they broke up, I get it. But if you like blues rock, I thought their 70s work was great.
