Any way to fix leaky battery post?

Yeah those are okay. I was more interested in keeping the acid inside the battery.

Any way to fix leaky battery post?

Usually I just replace the leaker with an AGM, problem solved -$200 or more. Usually when they leak this bad they're near end of their useful life any.... I've got a flooded group 65 (bigger and expensiver) battery in my ford that tests pretty good but it just leaks. I can probably get another...

    Oil filter wasn't changed

My gf in England got the oil changed on her Volvo. I said "engine seems more noisy than last time, when was the last time the oil for changed?". She responded with "had it changed after work". We stopped at a gas station and checked the oil. Nothing on the dip stick and no apparent leaking...

    2019 F150 - Owners Manual says 200K or 10 years for coolant - Reasonable?

Well that's certainly not an ideal application for long life coolant

    2019 F150 - Owners Manual says 200K or 10 years for coolant - Reasonable?

Hybrid coolant has an easy life.. Been running the same coolant in my Nissan leaf for 15 years and it still looks and tests as new coolant.

Change out to 90w (old Canter truck)

That should do it. Usually they're well over a hundred cSt at 40c. How cold does it get there?

Efficiency Info on the New Mobil 1 Filter

The promised land is something to the tune of beta 75 to beta 100 = 20mu and "rated for" 12mu. Yeah basically a redo of the fram titanium. Or something like a wire backed fleetguard with "12 micron" rated media. One filter to rule them all.

That heavy v-twin has been rolling around on those tires for an hour and a half. Been sitting on those tires since Sunday. No flat spotting an they're not turning to dust on the inside very much if any.

I bought a used dethatcher in 2019 and it did almost nothing much to my surprise.

    Mobil1 75w-90 vs brandx 75w-85

Makes sense because 90w is covering about 12 to 21is cSt. And most of not all the 140w oils I've seen tests for all lived on the thicker end of the 140w scale.

API SQ oil in the wild

Probably no advantage and hopefully no disadvantage for port injection engines. I'm changing the oil in my wife's car as soon as I see higher end full synthetic SQ oil in 10w-30 or 5w-30 flavors. As that one is DI.

Yeah think so too. It looks like this is going to be a good mower. It has an hour meter on it and I'll see how many hours I get out of them before they no longer seem suitable for use. Then I'll pay big $ for the real stuff. It's met the goal of seeing if the mower mows. They started out holding...

New toy. 24hp Briggs with 48 inch deck if it runs.

Ah so it is 3/8npt just like it's always been. This one leaks terribly compared to others I've seen.

New toy. 24hp Briggs with 48 inch deck if it runs.

Looks like the oil is leaking from the plastic drain extension, and probably from the filter. Glad I used reclaim oil because most of not all the oil will dump out when I replace the drain. It's a Craftsman FS5500.

I don't know any other way to get 2 front tires up for $15 for at least long enough to tell if the mower is going to be any good. This is kinda like filling the engine with reclamed oil, do I put new tires or spend about $10 per tire to fight the tube into the tire to find out it's a junker?

2 of the tires are about to turn to dust anyways they're so old and cracked out.

I found a broken tee post with a back tire, it ripped the side wall open. Otherwise it's been great for rear tires. When I get another blown out side wall I'll foam them, probably with the proper stuff.

BEein using tire slime for years. It works great in the back tires. Those will stay tire slime. The front tires slime works ok but for some reason eventually fails.
