thx guys. I just found a lucas fuel treatment in the gallon size, 20 dollars, treats 400 gallons, and im going to used a turkey baster i used for PS fluid change, brake fluid, etc. I cleaned it out thoroughly but I think there is still some residue, I wont even worry about it now.... thx guys

What would happen if a tiny amount of power steering fluid, brake fluid, or oil got in the gas tank? Im talking like, .2 ounces here...

i will not believe 1 bit that mechanic. See i work at a dealership also and we have one of the best porsche techs in the COUNTRY. Now, I dont talk to him but all our porsches get 0w-40, I have never seen them rebuilding a newer engine, even the 911 turbo the comes in for service, with GT-2 HP...

im surprised nobody has said that part of BMW inspection I and II on the cars includes an oil additive......

i know, this was many years ago, i didnt know any better, now my car is 2001 and i dont have these problems.... The no smoke, were usually thick motor honey, and the stop leaks were thin for the most part... it was stupid on my part, but you live you learn

ok, i used to dump like every engine stop leak no smoke treatment in an old beater i had when i was 16-17 (not very long ago) and it didnt do a **** thing except probably lead to the demise of one engine.

yea! my 01 SS with 24k, last satruday this noise appeared when the engine was totally wamred up... sounds like a knock , rev in neutral VERY lightly and it will come, or if i rev it heavy to 3-4 k it will knock when the RPMS and coming down, 1-2k rpm....

my moms 96 camry collectors edition idles high also, 3.0 v6. in cold, about 1900-2000 rpm, in warm weather starts, like 1500 rpm. Makes me feel funny! The clunk when shifting into reverse and drive is outrageous from all that idle.

i would suggest a 2 bottle auto RX treatment then use a good dino. the engine is a solid one and will run for a long time. my GF had one 2 years ago and that thing had some power.....

sounds cool to me! i love BP, but will switch to shell every other month maybe, then mobil, etc. etc. but I still think amoco ultimate is the best in my area.

it has a steam cleaning effect I believe... a cylinder with a headgasket leaking water and coolant into it will be absolutely spotless!
