The non-turbo models specify conventional oil and the turbo models require synthetic,. The manual also states synthetic can be used if it meets the Chrysler ms-6395 specifications. I probably use penzoil platinum 5w30 and a Mopar or Purolator boss oil filter.

Hello,. I would like to know what conventional 5w30 motor oil meet the Chrysler MS-6395 specs? I have 2013 Fiat 500 pop sport with a 1.4L non turbo engine, The owner's manual says to use a 5w30 conventional oil but a synthetic oil meeting the MS-6395 spec can also be used....Thanks🙂

I tried redline and amsoil 5w30 in a 3rd gen Acura TL and didn't notice any difference from using Castrol edge or penoil platinum 5w30,. The main difference was the price...lol

I had a Bmw 525i E60 and used the liqui moly top tech 1800,. My transmission was a ZF6HP and it worked great, It should also work with the ZF8HP transmission,. Guys that have Rams use maxlife in there ZF8HP Transmissions.

Anyone using the Mobil 1 5w30 high mileage synthetic oil, The label says it can go up to 10,000 miles before the next oil change?

Pentosin is another good Atf alternative for 6HP transmissions, A lot of guys that have Bmw"s, Jaguars and Land Rovers is also using Ford Motorcraft Mercon SP in there ZF 6 speed transmissions, It's a few more dollars than Maxlife Atf.

The spec is: Shell M1375.4. and ZF Lifeguard 6 is the approved fluid for the ZF 6HP transmissions.

Hello, Anyone ever tried maxlife synthetic Atf in a BMW 6HP transmission? I know it works in the older 5HP transmissions but I don't hear much about people using it in the 6 speed automatic transmissions....Thanks

Mercon SP is used in fords 6R60, 6R75 And ZF6HP26 transmissions, The 06 Lincoln Navigator uses Mercon SP and a few other late model ford suv"s and trucks, I use Mercon SP in my BMW with a ZF6HP19 transmission.

I used Lubegard Red in the past, Its good stuff.

I remember i purchased a few quarts of Redline D4, The fluid had a jelly like gel at the bottom of the container. It was a new purchase so i returned the fluid and they sent out a newer batch of the fluid, In my case the seller had the fluid it in my opinion to long.
