Current Gen GMC/Chevy 1500 thoughts and opinions?

Doesn't surprise me, They're really cracking down. There was a time when GM didn't care with the exception of Duramax trucks or major modifications such as power adders. We used to sell Magnuson Supercharger upgrades while retaining the factory warranty back when I was a GM tech.

Current Gen GMC/Chevy 1500 thoughts and opinions?

Don't use a tuner/recalibrate the ECM while it's under factory warranty because they will cite tampering & deny a claim. OBD plug in disabler devices don't work on 22.5+ "facelift" trucks, I can't tell from the picture you posted. Even if you don't care about warranty.....22.5 "Global B" E90...

Current Gen GMC/Chevy 1500 thoughts and opinions?

AFM/DFM 6.2L's are more likely to have lifter issues if anything. Same lifters controlling bigger valves with a more aggressive cam profile.

This is the tool kit I used, HERE The cam lock tools are labeled wrong.....The one labeled Right is for Bank 2 on the driver side (Left). The hook pin needed some material ground off to fit between the timing cover & tensioner (To pull up the locking pawl).

2012 Dodge Charger auction rat with a Pentastar, Cylinder 6 misfire. Diagnosed with a vacuum gauge, Low vacuum with a slight oscillating dip once it rested at base idle. Tore the intake & valve cover off & found a broken intake cam from the rear cam cap not being torqued, One bolt sheared &...

Oldest daughters 2015 Chevy Cruze, Needed a Valve Cover (PCV) & a Canister Purge Solenoid (Wouldn't seal). Bought a Dorman valve cover as it's all I could get short notice on a Sunday.....Usual Dorman crap quality, My socket (Snap-on E-Torx) didn't fit the bolt heads well & the dipstick didn't...

Gen v L83 oil pickup removal

Because they're coated with a sealant to prevent oil wicking past the threads, It's okay to reuse them if you apply Anaerobic sealant or Threadlocker.

Torque number for 62TE pan bolts using gasket.

All 62TE's call for RTV so there isn't an official torque spec for using a gasket. Toyota calls for 62 inch pounds on their gasketed trans pans with M6 fasteners.

Gen v L83 oil pickup removal

If it still has a decent interference fit....An Anaerobic sealant will work well.

Is 17ft lbs too much for a 5/16" diameter bolt?

ARP stainless is another option, Do you have a more accurate UHL than "Like 6 inches"?

jeep needs a fuel pressure regulator

GP Sorenson/SMP# 800-430 costs me $104.99. IIRC....Wasn't the regulator part of the fuel pump assembly far as Chrysler was concerned?

Is 17ft lbs too much for a 5/16" diameter bolt?

Almost all M8 fasteners on GM products call for 18 ft.lb.....8mm & 5/16" are within .002" of each other. Don't like using 8.8 or Grade 5 hardware on anything, 10.9 or Grade 8 at the very least.

2000 Cavalier a/c compressor port size

    Sounds like a good ole 4 Seasons question? Original Part# 1135438, Superseded to part# 19169427.....Which crosses to 4S part# 57981 with 5/8" suction port.
