Having very difficult time removing custom wheels

In PA, it's very possible the steel under the caps has corroded, and expanded the cap enough that the 19mm socket won't fit. I've seen 19.5mm sockets made for exactly this situation. Maybe give the parts stores around you a call and see if you can buy one locally?

Can someone explain Relief Valve Setting to me?

The 13 PSI refers to the pressure differential across the filter, not the total oil pressure. When the oil is cold, the filter element is clogged, or the oil pump is moving more oil (high RPMs), the relief valve opens to prevent the can from being overpressurized and bursting.

    Clay/Nanoskining ?

I haven't tried foam (I don't have a foam cannon, sadly), but I have used Turtle Wax Rinseless at the normal wash dilution with both red and blue Nanoskin prep sponges. It seemed to work as well as the spray detailer I used (Mothers).

    Rust Free Southwest Cars

I'd think the heat and lack of humidity would accelerate rubber wear, so the hoses and belts would deserve a going over. Those can be inexpensive issues to fix, if caught in time. I guess transmissions could degrade their fluid faster, from the heat, if their cooling systems weren't adequate.

    Mid 2000's Avalin vs ES330

If you need folding rear seats, the ES330 is not for you. Unfortunately, I believe the Avalon shares the same rear seat (which has a small passthrough for skis or golf clubs, but doesn't fold.) We've owned a 2005 ES330 since September 2014, which replaced a '98 Camry LE. The sound dampening is...

    interesting experience on "Johnisthewatchguy"

EdwardC has good advice: check the "new" batteries for proper voltage, and look at the contacts in the watch for signs of corrosion. If those conditions are good, then unfortunately, the movement may be dead. There are quartz watch cleaners ( here's one), but some aerosol contact cleaner may...

Want to re-anodize a Campy headset piece....

That's what's called clear anodization - same process as color anodizing, except the dye bath gets skipped. Your headset cups likely did get sandblasted as part of the powdercoating prep, so you'll need to polish the piece before anodization. Any marks before anodizing will show up after. Best, Jon

Front Hub Started Making Noise ..

For quick-release hubs, I like to set the bearing preload just a hair loose, as the quick-release squeezes things down when compressed. The test I learned was to flip the bike or put it in a stand, see what the heaviest point of the wheel was (usually the valve-stem; whatever settles at the...

    Used coolant storage

I'd just use the HD buckets - they seal well with the standard lids, or you can get collars and threaded lids that are easier to remove. After the coolant transport, those buckets make great carwash containers, especially with a gritguard in the bottom. I've got 2 set up that way, plus another 5...

What is a phone's ESN tied to?

As I understand it, the ESN is part of the phone's firmware. A quick web search found a few methods to edit the ESN/MEID in the S3, so you could swap the main board and use your old, good ESN with the new hardware. However, if you don't plan to use the phone on any cellular networks, the ESN is...

    Adding RAM - Need Advice

If she's running the 64-bit version of Win XP, the system will be able to see RAM over 3.5 Gb. I believe 4 Gb is listed as the max, though I've seen other forums' posts where owners have fitted 6 to 10 and gotten it to work (usually with a Win 7 upgrade as well, though).

    Microfibers

Wash those things! I save them until I have a load ready, then wash them in cold, normal cycle, with detergent and a cup of Simple Green, to make sure all the residues comes out. I like to do an extra rinse cycle as well, to make sure all the soap is out. Air-dry if you have the space, or tumble...

    Last Minute Road Trip

I just did a 2000 mile overall road trip in a 98 Camry with the 5SFE. It turned over 100K miles on the way back, but the engine's got some heavy varnish from years of city driving before we got it. Still, it averaged just over 32 mpg for the trip. Anyway, you sound very well-prepared. I'd watch...

    New Sony BluRay player issue

We've got the same BluRay player, and it does the same 3-step process, with a "close" button after it connects. I don't mind the connection business, as it seems to be testing network speeds, but the need to close the dialog feels unnecessary. I've never tried checking my network settings before...

    Power steering fluid change

I'd say you did just fine - the viscosities aren't that far apart to begin with, and the theory is that DexII/DexIII sheared down to a thinner viscosity fairly quickly. If you notice any leaking with the DexVI, you can use any Mercon-V ATF as a DexIII replacement. Mercon-V is still a licensed...
