Fair price - Labor-only oil change

My dealer does this for $21 with them providing the filter. With a Motorcraft filter for my car running $6, that's exactly $15 for labor.

2014 Ford Fusion, 2.0L Ecoboost, first oil change

Dumped the factory fill today at just under 3,500 miles. Fresh load of Pennzoil Ultra in the pan. I swear it runs smoother and quieter. Which given the low mileage on the car and the oil almost certainly means it's a placebo effect I invented to justify the trouble I went to in order to source...

I think I am sold on silver cars

Silver is near perfect for looking clean most of the time. It doesn't show water spots nearly as bad as darker paint, either. My Fusion is "darkside metallic." It's beautiful when it's clean, but it's nearly impossible to keep clean. The good news is it encourages me to clean it more.

2013 Ford Focus ST: 2.0L DI Turbo engine.

I have the same motor (somewhat less tuned up) in a Fusion. I'm doing my first change tomorrow at around 3,500 miles. I'll be using Pennzoil Ultra 5W30. I'll probably start with a 6,000-6,500 mile OCI and do a UOA. After that, I'll probably follow Blackstone's recommendations, and do a UOA every...

    SCARCE PENNZOIL ULTRA 5W30

I ordered some this weekend, but I got an email saying the delivery is "delayed." I can't understand why this stuff is so hard to get. Pennzoil still has it on their site, but apparently no one is stocking it locally, and you can't get it reasonably from Amazon, so you're stuck either paying...

What is your Oil stash: brands/how much

I bet anyone stumbling on this site will be flabbergasted to find anyone has an "oil stash," LOL. But yeah, I am stocking up on Pennzoil Ultra 5W30 while I still can. I currently have 3 5QT jugs and 1 QT jug, but I'll be getting 2 more of the former and a 6 QT case of the latter within the next...

Who actually still uses a synthetic blend?

I'm about to switch to Maxlife syn-blend in my wife's Sienna due to minor oil consumption/leaks at 95K. I'd run conventional otherwise. I don't see the benefit in paying more for the Maxlife full synthetic in a normally aspirated V6. Full synthetic in my Ford Fusion, due to turbo/DI.

2014 Ford Fusion, 2.0L Ecoboost, first oil change

No, it should be a piece of cake, but it's worth the $21 for me not to have to deal with it. Plus with a new car, I prefer to have the dealership service it so they can apply any recalls, TSBs, etc. and have a service record. Once my wife's Sienna is out of warranty I'll probably DIY her oil...
